When you do the transfer to another family, does their kid(s) go to /your/ parents' house? My mom is totally against that but I really wanna go to Japan to learn about EVERYTHING until my brain explodes!~ D:
i was actually on the YFU website while watching this! i was a bit nervous to go if i do.. but now im not nervous! i cant wait to see what i learn XD thanks!!
@oOoitsmeh I really want to go to Japan and study just like you did through YFU or any other program. What do your host parents serve you? like to eat :P I'm a picky eater buy I love rice and chicken all that good stuff.
@AbstraktManga I ate rice everyday and the food is amazingggg. I miss it all the time. Whenever I crave japanese food I think about my host mom. The rice balls there are delish! haha I hope that helped.
I was thinking of studying abroad for like 1 year now :)
and im soo jealous how yu went there! I wanna join. SO BAD! I have alot of kwestions I was thinking about friends and the language, and i kno some japanese like only the greetings, some tho. How will i learn? if the teachers speak japanese? im so scard and I'm a really shy person. and was the work hard ? I dont wanna be dumb, im scard if i fail. Where can i sign up? I kno I have alot of kwestions, and can I just message yu? Arigatou~
@HeavenlyXo Hahah don't worry you can ask me and message me. But I didn't know much japanese beforebut I was able to learn. You should try to be social so you can adapt to the culture and learn more japanese. There are many different programs but some legit ones I know are YFU and AFS. You can google them or go to their website. It also depends on your age and your school. There are a few things to look into
@oOoitsmeh kk , thankss~ and how old do i have to be? and does my grades have to bee good, like 80s and 90s ? does some students kno english, so i could be social ? becuz i dont realy kno tht much really, like i said some greetings :D and about staying at home where your gonna stay , do they provide yu with a bed with blankets and stuff :) omg jus thinking about it makes me happy! :) thankss for uploading too :D
@NobueSmiles I went my Junior year and I thought it was the perfect time to go :)
The essays are like 350 words for i think about 4 essay questions. They just ask you about yourself like what do you do in tough situations and how is your bond with your family and what not.
Money is really up to you.
A lot of things are already covered by your host parents and the program itself.
You'll NEED abour $300 for things and bring more or less depending on how much you want to shop ><
Im thinking for going for my Junior year....the whole school year and im wondering how much it will cost?

Okay!
Thank you so very, very much.
I am planning and hoping to go in 2 years.. (once again hopefully)
...because I am planning on getting my grades higher.. before I leave.
and study somewhat how to write in japanese and speak.
I am only in gr.9 right now and wanting to go in 11,
But just wondering.. what kind of essay did you have to do? And the work?
Also.. how much money should, be brought. Because knowing I will want to go shopping.. alot. (- u -)
Thank you alot, once again.
