The blood everywhere reminds me of a guy I built a wooden boat together with. I was in another room working with some powertools and shit. When I came back the whole boat was red. He had cut himself in the thumb, continued working and forgotten about the wound.

That is the chassis... or part of it.

I dunno why no one is funding it. Maybe thhey're just waiting to see a finished product. ha ha, ya right. No one cares because its not economically viable to fund giant robots. .....or at least no one has done it yet.

If I knew fundy people, my house would be swarmed with robots that do little to nothing. Sadly, only thing people care funding about where I live is football. But with a giant robot, it would be much more effective, as the people who are funding most likely fund others too, and if those others have bad results, they can squish them with robot.

I'm not building a giant robot myself (yet) so I can't really talk but I think you should have jig built the sliders and you should also chain up your slave so she doesn't escape :-).

What happened to your mountain retreat and workshop? And do you ever measure stuff or use a tape measure?

I hope the aluminum holds up. I'm about done with a project now the weighs around 700lbs I'm guessing, and I was very suprised to a 3 foot long piece of 1" sqare steel tubing with 1/4" thick walls bowing. I never thought I'd see that happen. No big deal, I braced it up. I'm just saying to be careful on the first test. It would be ashamed to bend up such an awsome machine!

Oh.... thats what keeps me up at night when I think about the robot. I haven't done a lot with aluminium, so I'm guessing on a lot of things. I'm pretty sure I'll have to reinforce some things more. ....and there are a couple things I've already cut steel replacements for. I'll test it out really slow the first time. ....without me on it.

There are a lot of different licences you can get.

Personally I'd want one that says anyone is free to make their own, but not to sell them without giving you a share. Something like that. You don't want to get in the way of other people making their own, but you don't want some other guy making money on your idea.
