From what I read, he did use two handguns, a pistol and a revolver. The Pistol was a Belgium Fiveseven, they house a 20 round magazine of 5.7 ammunition. Unless the magazine is California legal, then it would probably hold 10 rounds - if Im correct?. I am unaware of what caliber of revolver he used, probably a .44 or a 357. Im sorry that this happened in your country, and Im sorry about the 13 Americans who have died because of it :(

To answer your questions. CNN said 2 9mm's. I don't believe he was able to empty to hand guns and reload 3 times before he was stopped, just my opinion.

Any idea how long the shooting lasted or how much distance he traveled? CNN has also updated the info to be correct but I knew this before they aired it. Do you have any idea how long it takes for a call to go from a cell phone, to the 911 operator, to the police dispatch, to the officers? Plenty of time to empty more than 4 magazines as you imply.

We stayed for "reconstruction" though...which is named an "economic reconstruction" and has gotten us nowhere in 9 years. You can view statistics regarding education, literacy, standards, etc. on Afghan citizens if you'd like.

The truth is that most people looking to join the military don't wake up one random day with the burning desire to help some ragheads escape the oppression put on them by Islamic extremists. The guy was already Muslim, already in the military when 9/11 happened.  He was having to deal with people coming back from Iraq suffering from PTSD with a whole lot of hate and suspicion he did not deserve. It's not cowardice, but failure to anticipate what he was getting into. He should not have been scheduled to deploy, but allowed to serve in some other faculty than treating returning soldiers. And if he couldn't get an exemption or a discharge he should have just gone AWOL.
