Aww, I just want to give him a cuddle when I see him sitting there all alone in the kitchen with his huge dark eyes. I really want a coton de tulear, they are amazing dogs, just have to sort a few things out first so I can really be there for him, I have to have enought time and money and room...
He gets loads of cuddles by my GF. I must admit, it is sometimes hard resist those puppy dog eyes, especially when he is offering his paw when you're eating dinner.
Coton's are great, he is very smart and as long as you give him his walks/ runs (we go roller blading together), he will do what you do. If you're laying down, he'll do the same, if you're up and about the house he'll follow you around, ready to play fetch with his favorite stuffed toy.
Yes a coton would be brilliant for me. I've read about them for almost a year now, visited several breeders and resisted puppies that invited me to take them home with their pleading puppy eyes. But I'm a student and even though I never have more than three hours of classes a day I have to make sure I can care for the dog properly before taking one on. I don't want to have a dog that's left alone all the time and I need to find a flat that allows pets as well. Thanks for your nice answer :)
Ya, I hear ya, this is out first dog and he requires a little more time and a lot more effort (especially at first) then we expected. But it was more then worth it.
Good luck, and when you do get one send me a link to the vid :0)
very cute!

Also, he will now lie down with a piece of food sitting on his paw and not go for it until I give the ok command.
We just can't figure out how to teach him to roll over.
