Okay, I wanna know what is up with Asagai's eyes. I keep following them whenever he gets close to Beneatha and he keeps looking up, down, up, down, throughout this whole movie, ever since he gave her the robes. He can't just look at her face when he expresses his feelings or even when he proposes? He has to keep looking over her head?
Man, I love Sidney's voice. If he wasn't a voice actor, he sure could've been one. I feel like I grew up with his voice.
its how funny how Walter messed everything up and yet come into the house using words like "us" and "we" its like no you...you Walter...YOU messed things up not US
I can totally understand Benetha's frustration at what Walter did. I also understand why Mrs. Younger scolded Benetha but I side with Benetha on this one.
Walter did not kill their dreams. Bennie was going to school whether her father died or not. So the money was irrealevant. Mama was not interested in running a business. The house represented a future for the family as a whole. Walter would no longer have to see his son sleeping on a sofa. His name was on a piece of property, which is income in later years. His children will grow up in a good neighborhood, schools, improved future. Walter had to grow up in a single afternoon.

Ivan is even cuter than he was on Hogan's Hero's; hiding his good looks under all of that ugly green military uniform!

This is similar to "Death of a Salesman", since it deals with the issues of money, modern city-life and family shenanigans...

@Igetsitin89
In a monumental movie like this, why the hell would you choose Sean "Puffy" Combs as a lead actor? Glad I never saw it.

It sucks!! walter killed their dreams!

Yeah walter killed their dreams, but any other person would beat the hell out of beneatha after she started teasing him.
Clickstop24 2 years ago
That's true! I'm surprised Walter didn't slapped her face when she was teasing him!

[In my Opinion]
Walter was too caught up in his plans to pay much attention .
He appeared to have brushed it off.
Just about every time i watch this play i catch something different.
Nice post.
Thanks.
