Sadly the concept of shared cars will never work since most people are too lazy to drop it off at a station then walk home (unless the car can drive itself back to its station).
my roomate's step-sister makes $67/hr on the laptop. She has been fired for 9 months but last month her paycheck was $8621 just working on the laptop for a few hours. Read more on this web site... LazyCash8DotCom

@ChummyChime Would a motorcycle rider survive? Oh wait because it looks tougher that doesn't count right? Road safety regardless what you drive is based on how well you drive and how aware of your surroundings you are.
@NPAMike They make this big-ass Navigator-Trucks (One of the preferred by Americans) vehicles, that sits up to either Elephants or...well you know!...Americans... it gives you a whopping 3 miles to the gallon on the highway, & rides on the snow like a charm.....well some times you see it upside down on the ditch once in a while (sort of like every 2 miles you see one crashed) cuz here in Wisconsin people think that cuz the damn thing's so huge, it will allow you to drive 80-MPH on a blizzard :)
this car would work will in a country like north korea where there is no cars really on the road this car gets hit by a semi-truck with 2 ppl in it and its over for them
@ilikecheetos12 theres more videos that actually show you the concept of it folding up and parking, from what i saw your still inside till it completely folds up than it releases the top and lets you out:)
@C6R1S Look up history when Americans arrived with big canons on their ships to Japan Japanese had no idea what it was. Then they end up sending people from japan to Europe to study coz they were like 100 years behind and disconnected.
So they ripped or learned all the knowledge long ago from everyone else :)
If it has 'shared' use, i.e. pick up - drop off, who will check it isn't damaged? That it's still safe for use? Who's going to clean it if it's left in a mess? How will the batteries be recharged? Who will maintain it? What's the legality of picking up a vehicle that may not be roadworthy? Can it legally be driven in the folded position? Better still, where can I buy my own?
@brownsrd16 Think of it as a rental car, where the consumer is responsible during the time he or she is using it and the dealer/rep is responsible for the maintenance once returned. Although unlike a rental service I assume these vehicles would be provided by the local public sectors.
One downside I see is that they could get boxed in while folded and can't pull out, lol!
@codzboy74 That made me laugh thanks :)

How do you get in and out of the car? Do you have to fold it up and slide out of the top?

@C6R1S MIT's Media Lab has been shaping the car's design for over 6 years. So actually I would call this a viable design.

The concept of a folding car/truck can extend to many different models. It's basically foling in 1/2 and compacting for parking or storage.
