[大衛魔術] David Copperfield - Duck

Real duck: Has always been in the other half of the bucket. The bucket has two sections: one of them is empty. The divider is angled so that the entire bottom can be seen by the audience.

Fake duck: David mediates the movement of the fake duck with his right hand (not that hard to do). Then he places the fake duck at the bottom part of the lid (there is a hidden sack). The table at the left has a hole just big enough to fit the sack. The second part of the trick was a misdirection attempt. :)

I think he moves the duck when he moves the lid. You notice he faces the lid toward the audience. The lid probly has a small basket that he set on the secound box. As soon as he moved the lide the sides of the box fall slightly outward. The bucket is a simple false bottom. The senator dosn't put his hands in very deap. Rewatch the video. :)

nice performance I think he hides in the duck in the basket however there are two layer of the basket its very suspicious that he only show the audience the one lid to convince that the basket is empty. because the other lid under which hide the duck. however I cant tell how he made the duck disappear in this case

其实这种魔术的秘密已经被好多节目解密了,大卫如果只演时空移物­就太烂俗了,他的高明之处是加了后面的滑稽小戏,把整个魔术是变­成了幽默剧,博观众一笑.太有才了.

Actually, this is a pretty simple trick. That bucket has two openings. One of the opening contains the duck so whenever he opens it, you can see that he never opens the same part he showed the audience or places the fake duck in. As for the duck's disappearance, there's actually a container at the bottom of the table, but you can't see it since he's using mirror to create illusion that makes you actually believe that it's see-through. I think this might be the only trick of his I can explain lol

@youkomazuki ahh no, there are no mirrors in the bottom of the table. Your thinking too much, think simplier. The duck dies, i know its cruel, but magicians often use multiple birds for an act involving just one. Notice the slight thickness of the top lid compared to the others. I would also suggest that each piece is probly heavy wieghted. There is another video of the same performance where the thickness of the top lid is better seen. Good guess though.

K. He has a real duck that he kills in the top of the box which is collapseable. Then theres the double sided bucket in which another duck is inside(the other side is empty). The next time(in slow motion) he has both the real duck and the fake one in the side of the bucket. Notice how he puts the duck towards the side of the bucket and makes sure the guy doesnt look inside by holding up the top of the bucket.

my guess is, the duck which gets into the box is not the same alive duck from beginning? After the bucket check with the MP, he gets the duck again from his assistant, that duck doesnt really move! looks like a collapsible duck, notice how he doesnt let us view the back of the top lid when he undid the box, collapsed duck probably stuck right under (he was pressing against the lid just before he closes the box!) ya, and DjDangersGirl4Ever I think u r absolutely right abt double sided bucket

yeah that was one of his few tricks i could figure out, probably because it wasn't developed for a heavily gimmicked stage. i'm sure he was one act of many entertaining all those polititians so he had to do something without a rigged stage. anyways bucket has 2 compartments 2 different ducks were used and the chair he was usin when he put the pieces of the boxo n it had a mirror to hold the first duck.
