"I worked in the colony paying my dues, accepting without question the prevailing views that a meerkat's life was one long rhyme; digging holes, standing guard until it crossed my mind: I wrong and all alone. All that I needed was one long word..."

"I worked in the colony, paying my dues
Accepting without question the prevailing views
That a Meerkats life was one long grind.
Digging holes, standing guard, 'till it crossed my mind
I was wrong
And all alone
All that I needed
Was to have heeded
Hakuna Matata"

I believe he said "all that I needed" twice, and then said "Hakunah Matata" or however you spell it...does that help??

The more I look up these deleted scenes from Lion King and Lion King 2 the more I wish they had all never been cut from the movies.

I think they cut it out so they could make tlk 3 with Timon's story.

I've never seen this before, I already knew how Timon got there in the first place as it states in a few episodes of Timon and Pumba.
The one in the movie is indeed better but it's nice to see this one. (some of the words obviously didn't quite fit)

They somewhat used this to compose Timon's backstory in Lion King 1 1/2
