Having seen lots of JIMI HENDRIX Concert/Film (Close-up) footage

I have learned how to place my fingers on the fretboard/neck HENDRIX-STYLE.

You also can watch/listen to other (far more better, HENDRIX-Tribute) Guitarists on the tube who show you some HENDRIX-Chords close-up and learn from them.

Sounds great. Do you have some kind of octave effect in your sound? It sounds very full.

I didn't use an octave effect. Only use distortion on this one.

It could be the settings and the way I play the strings with my plectrum / Pick.

You can create an octaveLike sound by placing your strumming hand close to one of the pickups. So it's the amount of pressure you put on the strings muting the sound.

That's a kind of technique I use to get an octavelike sound. Hope it make sence to you.

the song starts in Csharp minor, it modulates in the free part to E and stays there till the end.

My three live versions of this tune very removed by YouTube following a complaint of SONY BMG which like yours was illegal. I will sue them for that.

Of course Jimi tuned down a half step ! So he played in C sharp minor - sounding C minor for the outsider.

Consider his use of open strings on many places in the song,

that is only possible in C sharp minor (Freedom, Spanish Castle Magic ....)
