  • Lex Luthor owning Chucky: doesn't get any better than that.

  • This is why Gene Hackman is one of the greatest actors of all time

  • Comment removed

  • Best scene ever.

  • 3 for whiteman

  • and nowadays the blacks are taking over doing this to us... Should have just let the KKK get on with it

  • @unrealharry You are full of crap man it is really sad that people still feel this way 'Just grow up and stop the hate and laugh and have fun God is good all the time

  • Best speech ever.

  • This is why you dont have people shave you! It just leads to blood.. and a knocked out person in a chair.

  • "Make no mistake about it, deputy. I'll cut your fuckin' head clear off and not give a shit how it reads in the report sheet." Great line from a great actor in a great movie.

  • Chucky is getting beat up.

  • I love it how Willem DeFoe tries to go back inside and the two other guys were like "nope, ain't gonna happen" as they blocked the door.

  • He would make a great joker,... "Lets put a smile on that face"

  • Classic scene. I love how the agents block the door and won't let the FBI boss William DeFoe in the door. He kept fighting Hackman's character on his tactics throughout the movie. But it was time for the agents to play dirty and crack some skulls.

  • Gene Hackman struck a blow for the black man when he whooped that rascist cops behind. One of my all time fav actors. So wish Gene hadnt retired. Love him. He was the best Lex Luthor ever.

  • 0:17 the look on his face for that one second is sooo scary - brilliant actor!

  • I blasted my ass off the first time I saw this scene. Thinking to myself, it's about time that fucker was getting his. Gene Hackman was kind of funny too, though. Everytime he asked a question to the deputy, he always said "Did ya, huh?" LMAO! That fucker got his though! OWNED!

  • so that's how the South intergrated :P

  • DAM, he fucked him up. LOL

  • lmfao @ how the blood on his face switches sides from right to left! MOVIE MISTAKE MUCH??

  • A favorite scene of mine. Unfortunately, I don't recall an agency from the US doing stuff like that for us recently. Since when have we seen a couple of agents investigate what happened to a couple of kids getting murdered like this?

  • Hey that reminds me, i need to pick up a bottle of shaving cream from walgreens... thx.

  • Bigots are funny when they get beat up. :-)

  • This is an outstanding scene and methods like this need to be used on all criminals from white collar on down. But alas, I am not being PC am I? Doubtless, the Nazi liberals will now cry and turn all their resources to the “rights” of criminals while their victims (if they were not murdered) will continue to suffer physically, emotionally and financially maimed and brutalized for the rest of their lives.

  • @ErieBoy62 I love the movie and understand your [our] enjoyment of it, but from a law standpoint, it's a bit nuts. Hackman's character has no proof that Pell was in on the murders; all he knows is Pell is rude and uncooperative and condescending. Law enforcement shouldn't be able to beat the shit out of someone just because they don't like them or assume they are guilty. While it's fun to watch, it could easily go the wrong way.

  • @ignoranceandwant I see your point and agree with you, I was simply penning my frustration at all the bullshit that is occurring today in our society. This kind of "justice" is great in the context of a movie but we cannot have it in reality. By the way, please accept my compliments on the excellence of your writing skill. Far too many comments I see on the internet are penned with a total lack of spelling and grammar. No one seems to care and it is a truly sad state of affairs indeed.

  • who cares about blacks. WHITE PRIDE WORLD WIDE

  • @Perseiden2 ass hole fuck u

  • @Perseiden2 Do you know whats funny about people like you? You are so proud to be white and most of us true white Anglo Saxons are ashamed to be linked to the mongrel whites in that shitty inbred corner of a truck stop excuse for a country were your mom hated you and your dad probably had serious thoughts of fucking is own son! I am proud to be white i am just ashamed of you. Good day to you sir

  • @GIVEmeSOMEsugarBA8Y I hate slave owners and hatred driven racists but I hate people who say fuck the south and it's "inbred savage peckerwoods" even more, all those people can just go to africa and live there if they want

  • @Perseiden2 stupid fuck

  • Gene Hackman for President 2012

  • Gene is a man who is so great. He retired due to age I think.

  • Lol at when he jumps on the chairs and it's just him and a sheet.

But in all seriousness one of the saddest, most real movies i've ever seen.

  • Is this the same movie where a black maid fends a guy off with a broomstick saying "I aint scared of you" and he replies "You should be"?

  • @feetietoes No, that was Fried Green Tomatoes and that was Cicely Tyson playing the character of Sipsey who said that line.

  • EEEHH!!!! BRAD'S GORGEOUS FACE GOT MESSED UP!!!!! IM SOOOOOOO SAD!!!!!!!!

  • LOL at 1:11-1:20 its like Mr. ward knew some shit was about to go down

  • did he die...?

  • Deputy sheriff Cecil Ray Price was a coward and a murderer...He brought shame and dishonor to the badge, Neshoba County and the people of Philadelphia, Mississippi...What's sad is none of the Mississippi Attorney General's from 1964 all the way to 2001 would not bring murder charges against Price...It wasn't until 2001 when MS Attorney General Mike Moore finally decided to bring charges..Then all of a sudden, Cecil Price dies following a fall from a piece of equipment at his job on May 6, 2001.

  • Gene Hackman could have been related to George C. Scott. He could have been his brother.

  • Two KKK members watched this clip:)

  • racism sucks!

  • i think he shit in her paints

when Gene Hackman got the razor knife

  • A few notes

Brad Dourif (guy in chair) is the voice of "Cucky the Killer Doll" from Child's Play

Willem Dafoe [guy outside who wanted to go inside]= Green Goblin

Tobin Bell (Guy who jams Lester's thumb in a cash register)= Jigsaw (SAW)

Gailard Sartain (The Sheriff): fat guy at the church in "The Outsiders"

  • 2 people didn't smile

  • Sweeney Tod?!

  • @chojustin LOL U got it G! Sweeney Todd failed to cut Chucky's throat! XD! :)

  • we watched this in history class today. sad movie considering the time period and setting.

BUT i must admit this was one of the funniest scenes i have ever seen in a movie. He left the guy sleep spinning in the chair ! LMAO

  • HAHAHAHAAHAH ill cut ur fucking head square off

  • This really happened? Hugs

  • What is THE most devastating & costly event EVER in American history?

    SLAVERY...

WHY, because slave trader's forced black's here to America and even their own tribal leaders sold them off to the slave trader's for profit.

America will NEVER, EVER live down slavery. It costs American taxpayers billions & billions of dollars every year and it will NEVER, EVER end!

Just imagine America WITHOUT black's, wouldn't it be just wonderful!

Bobbie Dooley, hist teacher Western Estates High

  • @BobbieandSteveDooley Two questions:

    1) What exactly are you saying? That slavery was bad because it brought black people here, am I understanding you?

    2) Are you really a teacher? 'Cause your writing isn't very good.

  • saw it last night..great performance by Gene and the others, uncoloured slice of American history

  • hearing gene's voice while a str8 razor being held on your face is a pretty scary thing

  • i want the scene where hes singing that song about spreading the news. any1 know where it is?

  • My favorite Gene Hackman performance.

  • Hackman is a god damn badass in this movie.

  • That scene is one of my all time favourite Gene Hackman moments. Very powerful speech.

  • One of the greatest movies ever made

  • In this case, Lex Luthor rightly gave it to "the man"!

  • i love this part of the movie! :) yay he got his butt served!

  • Can you imagine getting the officer shaving your face to make it bleed?

  • great movie if your into civil rights in the 1960's and the whole concept of race

  • @Omaha1989 one of my favorite movies alltime along with Malcom X and Glory.

  • @EyesOfTheSouthSTi Glory is my favorit movie ; best I ever saw. Malcom X was great too. Denzel Washington should have 6 or 7 Oscars, (as quiet as it's kept).

  • yeah, I think this was a good way to end the movie with hackman getting back at the racist police officer and to get justice for the police officers wife and the the three civil rights workers who were murdered

  • asshole

  • 2:25

    LOLZ

  • Great scene. Hackman is the man.

  • my favourite scene in movie

  • @youliveyoudie Why? Do you like violence?

  • @pablowestern no because gene hackman's acting is amazing

  • @youliveyoudie Thanks. I'm not really into the movie.

Actually I prefer that he did france operation

    with Roy Scheider. A hug

  • @pablowestern yeah that was really good too

  • @youliveyoudie It still is. i have 2 movies with me

  • "I'll cutchure fuckin' head clear off an' not give a shit how it reads in the report sheet" - his accent makes that line SO fucking badass...

  • gene hackman is definitely a bamf

  • Would you really believe this came from the same guy, who did "Bugsy Malone." Seriously !!

  • Thats my favorite part from the movie Mississippi Burning. " Did you smile that same stupid smile?" Classic Gene Hackman.

  • Chucky got his match!

  • "Did ya smile pal? Did ya smile?!!!!" LOL

  • Gene Hackman is totaly much better than Richard Burton was

  • @92af Well, that's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. Hackman and Burton are/were great actors, and I don't see the need for comparison.

  • @92af who is richard burton xP?

  • gene hackman is one badass mothafucka

  • "Make no mistake about it Deputy. I'll cut your fuckin head clean off and I don't give a shit how it reads in the report sheet!"

  • This movie is cool on how the FBI responded to the situation.

  • If this had happened in real life the deputy would have drawn his gun and shot him.

  • @ClassValedictorian Not before Hackman would've drawn his revolver first and shot Deputy Pell point blank in the head!

  • I like how the stunt double is bald :P

  • @lawrence142002 lol ya at 2:00 hahah

  • Shame this didn't happen in real life.

  • Gene Hackman is one of the greatest actors ever

  • @92af Oh yeah! Hackman fuckin' rules!

  • Evil Knievels brother Ku Klux Knievel will attempt to jump ten million Niggers with a steamroller this Friday night in Mississippi.

  • did you smile?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

The deputy looks like he is shitting his pants

  • LEX LUTHER slapped the shit outta him!!! LOL

  • Anyone notice the stunt double in the scene?

  • The last guy he wanted to shave him. The eyes of the Deputy says it all.

  • just cut him and say it was an accident

  • the kkk are harmless today compared to bloods, ms13

  • @SmashDiversity3 what's your point?

  • @quidproquo2004

also, black panthers were harrassing whites at a philly pol place

  • @SmashDiversity3 Are you suggesting the white man's treatment of black people over the past few hundred years doesn't matter and that society should treat black gang action and panther action separately? If so, I have to say that you are very foolish.

  • Did you smile pell? DID YOU SMILE ??!

  • I call that the "Sweeney Todd Treatment."

  • 2.28 ...Looks like a fun chair

  • I named my son Clinton after seeing this movie :)

  • One of the greatest scenes in motion picture history.

  • I never want to be shaved like that since seeing this movie. Gene Hackman's perfect for his role in the film.

  • KKK used to have 1million member is the USA in the 1920's....now they have less than 5,000.....what a bunch of losers...I bet they can only afford cake and punch at there annual conclave!!!

  • I hav do do this on a report

  • A pissed off Gene Hackman with a shaving razor under your chin...if that's not the best time to say your prayers i don't know what is

  • The slimey little jerk didn't even try to defend himself, but he can brutally beat up a small woman. What a little wanker-got what he deserved! My favorite scene in the whole movie!

  • i will cut your fucking head clean off and not care how it reads in the report.. CLASSIC

  • love this scene its excellent

  • amaizing movie

  • This clip is running too fast. Gene Hackman sounds like Alvin the chipmonk.

  • The mistake that expensively educated Ivy leaguers make (especially the rich, white ones), is expecting art to conform to their political ideologies and create historically factual tracts. Art is greater than that. It evokes, deepens reflection, invents great characters through acting. Parker is a film auteur who uses allegory to stir emotion, and this film and it's companion piece, "Angel Heart", are sply two of the greatest, and most misunderstood, films in film history.

  • Green Goblin lol...Willem

  • KKK got owned

  • In the foreword to the book, radical equations by Bob Moses, David Dennis, who spoke at Chaneys funeral, writes about the movie Mississippi Burning: The movie was a wrongheaded attempt at a sympathetic portrayal of the movement. It removed Blacks from the center of Mississippis civil rights struggle, portraying the African-American community as not just weak, but spineless as white power rampaged. In an especially galling falsification of history, the heroes of the film were the FBI.

  • who was Clinton??? the deputy?

I know that Townley was the Grand Wizard...

  • Clinton was pwned.

  • brilliant film

    superb acting

  • Basically this scene just shows how awesome Gene Hackman is.

  • he should have won the oscar for this scene

  • This was such a great movie. I absolutely love it.

  • This is what you all call an old fashioned ass whoopin'.

  • One of my favourite scenes of all time. "Did ya smile!?!"

  • he should've carved

"I love black people" on his face....

  • way da go gene.... great scene

  • this is one of the best scenes in this fuckin movie

  • YEAH! Popeye Doyle takes on the Klan!!! ANyone else see it that way?

  • Yeah, I was about to write that, but then I saw your post. It's funny, because Popeye Doyle said to "never trust a n*****." He's turned a new leaf.

  • YES! And they established that this character said much the same thing all the time till he had a change of heart. Very good point..

  • Ha, yeah, I always crack up at Gene singing the KKK song at the start. At the start of The French connection I cracked up at Gene in the Santa Claus costume too. Every good cop movie should have the lead cop doing crazy stuff to get a result.

  • My favorite line: When Dafoe tells him "that's the difference between them and us." Then Hackman says, "NO! That's the difference between them and YOU!" He knew what he came from.

  • I haven't seen this movie in years, so I recall any specific lines, but the scene with the black guy in the KKK mask had some good dialogue.

Also, that's a good point, that Willem Dafoe takes over the role of the by-the-book sidekick that Roy Scheider originally had.

  • The gutter is where need to be!!! hahaha! Yes! I remember that!

  • haha I just saw the French Connection. My favorite line, "I'm gonna bust your ass for those three bags and then I'm gonna nail you for pickin' your feet in Poughkeepsie."
