Frostwire is a lot better. I had LimeWire, and instead of getting songs, I got shitty versions, porn videos came up, a Bill Clinton thing. I want songs not Bill Clinton saying " I did not have sexual blah with that girl..." Or typing in Still Around- 3Oh!3 in the search bar and in the results " Hot girl get covered in cum", It's like, does that have ANYTHING to do with Still Around by 3Oh!3? I was using it one day, then my computer screen froze, went to a blue screen. I was like fuck this.

download malwarebytes and once u got it sucessfully downloaded, update it, then open it if it doesnt work try changing the name to

(ex:DFjhjiDNk). just gibberish and it most likely will open. then run a full scan.

When you start Limewire. Do a search for anything you know doesn't exist. Like fghif7778dfgmnm. You'll pull up a list of all the virus spreaders on Limewire. Highlight them all & block the host. You may have to do this about 20 times before you can block all of their IP addresses. Secondly. Look at the file type & size. Most of the time a virus will be a small file like 23 kb. Don'd download these. But My best advice is this. Don't use these programs at all. Unless you know what your looking for

Of course you got a virus, you didn't even check the file before downloading. Always check the file info before downloading. And check each file with Bitzi. I have never gotten a virus from Limewire when I did this.

Last time, i downloaded a programm from limewire( i had a Norton antivirus), and with it i downloaded a trojan and a HACKER shits... some mins later, much windows errors appeared, and few secs later an error appeared, like a shutdown,and my computer shuted down. You can get viruses from just about anywhere on the net, email client, browser, p2p, and any other 3rd party app. You have to learn how to recognize when something looks funny. Like when you are after a 45-50 min. TV show that is regularly 350 MB or so but is only 230K and has an .exe extention. Get spybot search and destroy and get Avira free version. There's a way to disable the avira popup that comes up when it updates you can find on google. Keep the guard running, scan your stuff.
