@SalandFindles yeah but its not used in all the songs, and in the ones that it is used in, at most it switches 50-50 between the grunts and Floor, which isnt dominating the song

It's actually not that bad a question, this song draws on themes from the Book of Ecclesiastes which discusses how time will corrupt all flesh, and how important it is to make the most of our brief time here on earth. Several of After Forever's other songs also make use of Scriptural themes. Eitherwise, the music is great and Floor's voice is purely angelic.

Great band. Imo now better than NW (my all time favourites) who have lost their n°1 crown due to their poor choice of singer.

Not too keen on the grunts though. Too bestial for my taste...

I have come to like the grunts because I think After Forever keeps a good balance with it (I really dislike bands that only have grunts). I think it compliments Floor's voice and makes her sound even more beautiful. I especially like the trade off in "De-Energized" (because I almost feel like it sounds like a devil-temptation thing).

I agree with what you say. I also can hear it complements Floor's voice but I would have preferred a low deep voice than grunts. I am getting slightly used to them after hearing the songs many times...
