People only held onto them because of Nostalgia. An appreciable and classic car comes through the meticulous and thoughtful renovation of the automobile. Right now, a mid 80's Firebird is considered a piece of crap... but in twenty years, a well kept 3.8L Firebird might be a rarity. Only time will tell...
Well our fire bird hasnt been ran in like 10 years its an 82 with a 2.5 L 4 cylinder in it its got a newer high performance clutch in it and its on its second motor with 36k miles on it kinda ashame to have it just sit in a sandy spot beside the house

Insurance company's typically define a classic as being 15 years old or older while a DMV defines them as 25 years or older. Perhaps the entire car was not salvageable but I see a good front end and good fender that's about to get torn to shit

The motor has 46,700 miles, no rust. The motor is full of chrome. also it looks like a z28,.\ what im trying to say is if you like camaros, i will guarantee it would be in the top 3 nicest camaros you'll see in your life

@snower5554anything between 20 and 40 years old is a classic car this is an 83 to 90 firebird judging by the front end so it is a classic- you are taking the cliche "classic" like most and thinking that classics are just old chevelles or Gtos if it is around the 40 year mark it is but anything older than 45 is technically an antique - before you try acting like a know it all and calling everyone faggots maybe you should knowledge yourself-

@1250am ..apparently i know more than you...ive worked on these of crap since 82....crossfire was the worst..aside from the turbo 301.(gag)..other than a pocket on the dash and different dash pad all 80's to 90's camaro's and firebird/t.a are identical..same engines, same drivetrain, same interior, doors and hatches interchange...at least in the 70's you had the 455 and 403 options.and i still have a 77 black bandit clone with 403, m/22 4 speed..go see how many of those exist

There are differences between trans ams and firebirds other than stickers.Most of which was in the handling dept..Btw I remember 1982 and alot of the cars you speak of back when the electronics were misunderstood by carb happy people. now see if you can find a young kid to tune a carb...lol

with a lot of these rigs, it hardly becomes about the actual value as much as it truly is about the perceived value. In the mid 80's a 67, 68 Firebird was considered worthless. People only held onto them because of Nostalgia. An appreciable and classic car comes through the meticulous and thoughtful renovation of the automobile. Right now, a mid 80's Firebird is considered a piece of crap... but in twenty years, a well kept 3.8L Firebird might be a rarity. Only time will tell...

Well our fire bird hasnt been ran in like 10 years its an 82 with a 2.5 L 4 cylinder in it its got a newer high performance clutch in it and its on its second motor with 36k miles on it kinda ashame to have it just sit in a sandy spot beside the house

Insurance company's typically define a classic as being 15 years old or older while a DMV defines them as 25 years or older. Perhaps the entire car was not salvageable but I see a good front end and good fender that's about to get torn to shit
