i have these now i had them in sealed box and it sounded good so i decided to build a new system which will be 2 12 type r so i made a costume box tunned to 32 hz since im waiting for my subs to arrived i decided why don't i put my mtx in it and holly crap they make my car shake now u can actually feel air hitting ur hair so if u want a cheap system that bangs get them and tunned them to 30-32 hz and it will bang good
idk ive never had a 15in road thunder but the 12's handled both very well, idk my L5 12's have the surface area of a round 15 and they handle both very well 2, theyre a little much for rock though so i turn them down a bit during rock, so idk if it really makes a difference, just takes more power to power them and theyre louder
yea they handle pretty good for beginners, i was running a single mtx tc4001 to both of them with a peak of 1200 and they distorted at the high end a little bit but theyre decent for the price
