  • The platters are way too small. How is anyone supposed to scratch on those? Shit i cant even get over the small platter size on the V7s.

  • where is the full intro at 0:08?

  • you know its a good DJ when you're watching them the whole time, but you have absoloutley no idea how they're making this music.

  • that mike tyson part is simply amazing!

  • Haha!! Shiftee is wearing a Mythbusters shirt!

  • THAT GUYS SICK!

  • Why is he jumping like a retard when he hasn't dropped anything yet? :P

  • @EFmw2clan Its a DJ thing you wouldn't understand:D

  • @EFmw2clan He feels the music ...nothing wrong with that!

  • traktor s4 or vci-400?

  • CRAZY MOTHERFUCKER

  • exelent

  • the dj is pretty badass!

  • just bouth the mixtrack pro and now i want this...

  • I WANT THIS XD

  • says it all in the video, you can spin a set using loops, and still doing it in the style of a Real DJ.

  • One question. Can I take parts of tracks and put them into the sample deck?

  • cool controller, shit remix

  • they couldnt find a better guy to do this?

  • it is actually the S2, right ?

    Except the 4 Channels ?

  • @NightStrikeKill Yes, and dedicated sample and filter buttons.

  • can anyone find the flashing lights diplo remix? i cant

  • ajjaajajajjajaajajajajajaja re loco como toca xD

  • its cool but why is it super small??

  • @KelvinYapXII I did it, long time ago. And it works ;)

  • fuck, i don't have 800 dollars...

  • That house music is this at the begin of the video ?? Tell me plz

  • that 2:47 move is some higher level shit yo

  • HOW MUCH?????

  • @droponikBFN 800 if your lucky...

  • whatever gets the crowd movin and havin fun.. still takes great creativity and timing to do this live and make it sound good.. looks fun to use as well

  • the tetris remix was EPIC!!!

  • if you gotta use those buttons frequent like drumpads on a set they gon' wear out pretty fast o.O

  • can u buy this in australia?

  • Ean Golden > Shiftee

  • Using headphones as a mic is possible because the motor structures of head phones and pic ups of mic are identical. A very good example would be to take a part an old phone to see yourself. Most differences are to make it more effective as one or the other.

  • @j10puli13o a long long time ago (circa 1980), i actually used a small microphone as a headphone... Uncomfortable as hell but it worked.

  • @vendoman500 You can use whatever Regular DJ headphones. Just plug it in the Mic port of your mixer. Thus, you have a mic. The only perk on this is he can record whatever he's saying

  • Looks like a toy.

  • Dj headphones are now obsolete since the computer and software are doing ALL the real mixing, but you can still use em to talk through your mixer..

  • how the fuck did he talk into those headphones and where can i buy a pair?

  • cue point juggling? get the fuck outta here, should be smacked in the face for saying that bullshit

  • This gear is pretty expensive. Just saying.

  • @buttercookie420 it's worth it though

  • native instruments - sent by god

  • how much does this cost!

  • Does this come with traktor pro and how much is the s4

  • 3:18 ... My favorite part.

Where'd he learn to dance like that?... lol :)

  • Hes worlds best dancer.

  • Like ElectroHouse? Check out my channel ;)

  • 3:58 looks like he need a piss

  • i dj old school..CDs on my Pioneer CDjs and no laptop. But I think it doesn't matter what gear you're using, it's your skills that come in handy (mostly music selection) and the ability to make people dance. but i am switching to the traktor kontrol s4....for a few good reasons. first of all, i will use it for practice at home, its easy to carry and ill use cdjs in clubs. ill take the traktor kontrol s4 to birthday parties and weddings but probably not in clubs as im sure everyone will laugh.

  • @mihaelaist

and also,....why would a DJ want to buy an expensive piece of machinery when this one can pretty much do almost the same job? the problem isnt that there's a lot of wannabe dj's out there....its the fact that there are a lot of DJs with big egos and like to show off and think they're the best because they own a 2000$ piece of equipment. seriously....lose the ego! that's not what DJing is all about.

  • @mihaelaist "I Dj old school on CD's" haha, That's not old school in the slightest.

  • @mihaelaist I believe no one will care if you brought in a set of vinyls, CDJs or a controller into a club.

They will complain if your selection of music is crap though :>

  • i think that skrillex cant handle this

  • @YOthisISaCLAN jesus christ, fuck, why is it that everything that is relateed to dubstep i always got to find some stupid fuck mentioning skrillex , geez quit it already with that over rated emo fagat ,

  • please help, is there any controller thats bether then the s4?

  • @0wlcity0 the best controller is one that has a layout you're most comfortable with, but at the same time is durable and has high quality knobs and faders.

The S4 isn't easily beat, but if you want something a bit different have a look at the Pioneer DDJ-T1 or the Vestax VCI-400, but seriously, this doesn't mean they are better than each other, just whichever you're most comfortable with, go with that. All are compatible with Traktor.

  • @KelvinYapXII so the s4 does the same as the other controllers?

  • @0wlcity0 More like, they are all tools you use to get the job done very nicely. The controller should be the least of your worries when you're performing/mixing :)

  • @KelvinYapXII ok thanks c:

  • Comment removed

  • @Thetuberyou123 CDJ's don't make you a DJ no amount of gear makes you a DJ, the music makes you a DJ.

  • @Whofacesmiles

At last !!! someone who tells it like it is .........equipment doesn't matter...it should be ALL about the music..

  • @Whofacesmiles The skill. the passion.

  • @Whofacesmiles so if you dont have the gears or equiipment how u gonna make music ? duuh

  • @sadiel1 That's not the point, the point is that you can use whatever gear you want it wont make a difference .

  • @Whofacesmiles A traktor control S4 doesn't make you a DJ, no amount of controllers will make you a DJ. not using the Sync button makes you a DJ

  • @funguywoo No true Scotsman....indeed!

  • @Thetuberyou123 what a fag

  • I don't understand how you can play with a sample like that without earring clip peaks...

  • I like platters I can eat a decent meal off.....I'd starve on this!

  • WHERE IS HIS VEST FROM???!!!

  • that shirt!!

  • калинка-малинка =))

  • shut up and take my money

  • what should i buy 2x cdj 350 and behringer ddm 4000 or the kontrol s4?

  • @ceezyro If you're just starting out, get the S4. If not, go with the 350's and DDM4000.

    Subscribe if you like!

  • @TheDJLeeOfficial I used to mix with a midicontroller and I have bought cd players a while ago but I'm still learning to beatmatch I want to buy the 350's because they have a usb feature and they can be controlled by midi and the ddm because it would be stupid to have digital cd players and no digital mixer

  • If you want to be a DJ, just watch 3:24-3:26 Copy his movements.

  • @mob67285 It's not that easy. How about you go back to your "How to be a DJ videos."

  • @Girholiday You do realize that was a joke, right?

  • Talks into headphones.

    WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?!

  • @KelvinYapXII Well, As an old Dj, I learned that is exactly what a mic is, a speaker in reverse. Do it and learn an age old thing. This is why everyone needs to take a lesson in sound reinforcement principles first. It will teach you that sound tools are actually based on a simple drum design. Not the electronics but the hardware , that is. No insult intended, but him talking into the headphones is not a trick,it is real. Godd learning all you Dj's. Peace

  • @djchristrent But you gotta plug your headphones into a 1/4 inch mic input on the mixer. lol

  • @KelvinYapXII hahahahahah lol

  • @KelvinYapXII I thought everybody knew that trick?

If you don't have a mic plug your headphones into the mic jack and they will do the same, just not quite as well

  • @KelvinYapXII haha but you would be surprised about how many headphones can do this

  • @KelvinYapXII Plug your headphones into the mic input, alot of over-ear headphones can do this :)

  • @KelvinYapXII headphones work as a mic too actually, altought its pretty low quality. try pluggin in ur headphones to ur comps mic jack, its works

  • @TheDjLolz holy shit noooooo!!!

  • @KelvinYapXII Headphones are pretty much just Mics with bigger diaphragms in an enclosure that is pointed at your ears :)

  • @KelvinYapXII you have newer used headphones as a mic in caraoke?))

  • this has to be one of the most entertaining vids on the s4 ever

  • what head phones is he using

  • HIPSTER ASS SHIRT

  • @DeLusion40 sick one.

  • can i do the same that he is doing with the s2?

  • @0wlcity0 if u know how to work with sample decks u can do the same shit easy... it's not so hard as it looks like :)

  • @Slounely thanks c: cant wait til i get it :D

  • Look at the Fader ;).. its a Fake ;)

  • the buttons on my traktor kontrol s4 are very dimly lit. the backlight is only maybe 50% of what it normally is and i have no idea why. anyone know why this i occuring? HELPPPPPP

  • @stickyicky61 either its not plugged into the wall or you need to edit the lighting in the controller editor

  • haha mythbusters t shirt

  • <3

  • go see my mix !!!

  • Don't be all happy, this guy is very skilled, you won't buy that and do this things on the moment you play something

  • I love all yhe systems of traktor, but i does not like th sync, for example if i have a song in 70 bpm and one of 140 bpm it speeds the long like crazy

  • @supermen133 - 70 x 2 = 140 ;) Once you have traktor loaded click active below the playing track. There is a button x2, it will double your beat grid and make your 70 bpm track 140. You can do the same by halfing the song, all your doing is playing around with the beat grid. Then again some songs just wont mix, btu thats not traktors fault

  • @Dwayne6040 I'm also interesterested in learning more as i have little to absolutely no experience; I wasn't able to find your facebook page. I dont know if links are acceptable on here but you can always message me. thanks

  • we have a group on face book that is just people who are down with Traktor. its called Tha Alien Nation. all can join. I love my turntables. but this is the new way for us. find us to join. come on in, the water is fine!

  • 1:46 Cool background!

  • What's the name of the song at the beginning?

  • Is this a good controller for beginners?

  • how much it cost ? dollars plz

  • when you got all your samples stored, can you still use your cue points??

  • Just seems too small to me. I love a spinning platter with my music. ;)

  • yay rusko :)

  • HELLPP i need to know if its worth to buy the s4 because it looks almost same features of the s2

  • @electronicmadness1 The S4 is COMPLETELY worth it. Its essentially the god mode of MIDI controllers. It comes highly recommended by my buddy Shiftee AKA Sam Zornow :) I absolutely love everything about this controller.

  • how do i use a mic in traktor 2 using the traktor s4?????

  • the first song at 1.00 is amazing

  • wow there's a lot of wannabe dj's out there

  • @LIGHTRONIX are you referring to shiftee to a wanna be dj?

  • @NickVanHouse He's referring to the haters posting on this video.

  • @tmtm325 oh ok. thank you for clearing that up

  • @LIGHTRONIX didn't you wanna be a DJ at one point?

  • @LIGHTRONIX I dont understand that. Is that a bad thing?

  • @LIGHTRONIX what makes you say that?

  • @leoisforevercool not this video, idk just look at any consumer uploads of the traktor decks, its like people think this will make them a really good dj

  • @LIGHTRONIX he's not that bad

  • @falconmick im not talking about him

  • i am going to buy that shit right now!!!

  • Hi ! anyone can recommend me a console for beginners? Wich one? or another brand, i dunno

Im starting with hardware so i need something good but for beginners :)

Thanks in advance. Srry for my english, im not native.

  • @lolsxboy if ya want i can buy the hercules MP3e2 thats for beginners

  • @lolsxboy if you want you can buy the Numark Mixtrack (pro)

    its also very cheap

  • @lolsxboy There are many introductory controllers available. You first have to decide which software you prefer: Traktor, Serato, Itch, Virtual DJ etc. Depending on which you prefer that will change which controllers you end up using. I started with the Vestax Tyhphoon. Vestax also makes the VCI-300MK2 as another nice intro controller. There is also the Numark Mixtrack, MixDeck, Just stay away from Hercules, I havent had good experiences with them :)

  • @lolsxboy If you want something thats very begginish, get a mixtrack pro (numark), otherwise this is a good choise

  • @lolsxboy mixtrack pro

  • @lolsxboy numark DJ2GO is a small, fairly-priced and easy to use controller for beginners. also there's the ION discoverDJ. and the hercules DJ control e2

  • @lolsxboy you are on the right page. look our group up on face book. you and friends can join. we can help you with what you need to know. the group is called Tha Alien Nation. we like to help fellow Dj out. or soon to be Dj. what ever. this is d-dub by the way

  • @lolsxboy I would recomend a allen and heath xone dx

  • @lolsxboy Behringer BCD3000! Look it up :)

  • @lolsxboy a Great one is Numark MixTrack Pro, Good and Affordable
