Subaru is not an offroad car, it has AWD for a swifter start and better manoeuvrability (kinda race car). No great sense to try it this way.

Impreza, old Forester and Legacy yes, but Outbacks are all-road vehicles. If there is even a hint of trail, Outback can't tackle it. Legacy and Forester not so much. New Forester yes, but old ones not really. Impreza, yes, a sports car.

Same here. My family and I have owned three Subarus (we're still on our third). The first was a 1985 GL station wagon that my parents bought new in '85 and lasted us until 1998, but by that time we already had number two, which was a 1995 Legacy station wagon that's still around, except we gave it to a friend of mine. Then, there's the third and current - a 2003 Legacy station wagon that we drive every single day of the year. Subarus are built to last.
