I think the solution does 3 things. 1) It might make the process of adhesion faster. 2) It makes the film stick better. 3) It allows you to move the move the film(to adjust)around without having to constantly take and replace the whole piece of the iPod.

Just to let you guys know, the man doing the installation is a pro from Invisible Shield, and makes it look a hell of a lot easier than it actually is.

Just to clarify some things up about it. Its around $25 bucks for the full body for the 2nd gen touch. Also the back piece is a pain to put on, because the sides tend to not stick very well (that hair dryer trick looks like it helps). Also in the box is the squeegee and the spray. The SPRAY IS NOT WATER. Its a special type of solution that evaporates quickly and also helps activate the residue on the shield to make it stick better. Pain in the butt to put on, but works well, good vid tutorial.

Right some how i worked out that the adhesive is distilled water! So boil your kettle twice, and poor it into a container that can spray! And..... Its not really really scratch proof i tried with keys, But I'm heavy handed so that might be why! lol

the casing looks very greasy when its completed. and for what it does, its not worth the 8 dollars or whatever it is. Doesnt look like it can be removed afterwards either. pulling it off after some time will probably leave the glue residue on the iPod. At the end of the day if you wanna protect your iPod get a decent case like the ones on their site. Not some cheesy chinese cheap alternative sold at a market for 3000 yen :P "OOOH the invisible sheild!"....what a joke.

ok first of all you can remove it but once you remove it you cant get it back on unless you get a new one, second it leaves no sticky residue it peels off like a normal sticker on wax paper, and its not cheesy the plastic is made out of the same material that covered helecopter blades in the military...so i hope this changed your mind...plus it has a lifetime warenty so if it breaks they will automaticly send you a brand new one......Happy Holidays...
