because pure gunline armies are boring to play 4 both user n opponent. All u do is roll dice. besides dwarfs all gunline armies can be defeated, n they have got solid infantry so why not use them? jus cause a he doesn't take the "easy" choices don't mean he's not tactical. Takes more tactics to use combined arms than "i shoot XXX, rolls dice".

no. infact i think anything older than 18 is the right time to start. I picked up the game when i was 13 but it never took. It wasnt untill i was 18/19 that i really got into it. And if you looke at the maturity level of some under 18 people youll know why it should be 18+. just my opinion :)

Na, it pretty much is a nerd game, but that doesn't mean it still can't be awesome. I've got 3,000 points of the little ork dudes for 40k, and 10,000 of dwarves for fantasy. And the only thing that goes better with warhammer than monster energy drinks is metallica and slayer!

How the hell is it better? its not like 40k is bad. the rules are fairly similar and the aqaud formation and tactics are the main difference. The story lines for chaos are also similar and warhammer 4ok offers a different feel if you have played warhammer for a lng time maybe thats why you think its better!

40K requires better use of terrain, while Psychology have a much greater role in WHFB.

Those are probably the biggest differences, other than unit formations.

They're just very different games.
