  • WOW TOUGH LIL GIRL :O

  • they let a four year old girl get little gauges wow bad parents

  • @dogsthebest13 wtf? Gauges are a term for STRETCHING your ears. Not piercing them. :/

  • @BrightNeonColourz No, gauges are just the measurement of the jewelry. Any piercing is a gauge, no matter how small. The normal piercing size is an 18g, some 20.

  • @xTruMetalx Sorry, I was thinking of plugs, :/

  • @BrightNeonColourz Don't worry about it, I call them gauges even though I know it's not right cause it sounds fucking retarded saying "I'm stretching my ears." x)

  • I think this the only video on youtube with the responsible parents that know not bring your kid to a place that uses piercing guns. +1!

  • got mine when i was 2 and didnt cry XD

  • That's not how I got mine done

  • she is very brave :)

  • Shes cute rt !

  • like a boss!

  • Wow, she's a trooper! (:

  • I Got Mine When I was 8 months old...

  • aww, what a little rebel getting it done with a needle, so proud :,)

  • I want this so badly

  • Now THIS is how ear piercings should be done.

  • Won't the earring fall out I had mine done ages ago with studs has it changed???

  • she barks at the end XD

  • They are awful

  • @papyruser how..shes gonna want peircings later on..I got my ears pierced when I was a baby

  • Love her earings!:)

  • The piercing guns seem much more painful as well--too much force to push the stud into the ear. No way would I want someone to shoot anything through my earlobe. Sheesh, it looks like shooting a carpet tack through the earlobe with a carpet stapler.

If I were to have a little kid's ears pierced I'd go for the needle--more sanitary, less painful, the earlobe can be numbed with water, ice or some form of chemical.

  • shes so cute!Whats that big-ish thing on the end of the needle where the sharp part is? Is it like a cleaning soultion or what? You can see it best here: 0:58 Im getting mine done with the needle in 2 days so I want to know what it is lol Thank youuu

  • @eagerbeavers1130 Might be some kind of water-based lubricant.

Congrats on making the right choice though! Your piercings will have a more hygienic and better quality start because of it.

  • @deadinside7 Ohhhh okay thank you!! :D I was beginning to think that it might have been an extremly thick needle or something so that was making me nervous lol :P Yeah, I hate the gun as it causes so much damage and theres such a high rate of infection and whatnot as I have experienced 4 times before. The needle just seems so much cleaner and painless and seems to go through nice and smoothly without damaging the skin. :) Thank you!!

  • @eagerbeavers1130 No problem!

The jewellery used when pierced with needles is a lot better in both size and material quality too in comparison to the gun studs. Happy healing :)

  • im 13 and im scared to death of needles!! but i want my noes pierced.!

  • Acctually, Here in our country or i dunno but our family we get our first ears pierced when we are babies :D i love it

    !! thats why i love earrigns !!

  • i think guns are more safe sanitary and fast than pins because one shot and its done i got my second peircing when i was 9 coz, i felt like having one LOL

i think sterilized earrigns are great for the most sensitive ears

  • @ghaliaiscute Well what you think is wrong. Guns are awful for any piercing.

  • who cares what age she got her ears pierced? i got mine done when i was 2..

  • She's so cute and so brave.

  • * kids

  • I've seen it's younger than this get their ears pierced. This isn't like child abuse or anything.

  • She is so cute and brave! Did she get it done at the doctors?

  • @KahmeiGaGa You're terrible at trolling.

  • @KahmeiGaGa It would be very foolish of you to not at least consider the things people here have said about guns and research the topic for yourself.

When given the choice between having piercings gunned with poor quality metals in some shop window and going to someone who knows what they're doing who uses good quality jewellery in a sterile environment with sterile equipment are you really going to choose the unsanitary option?

  • @KahmeiGaGa The only way to sterilize something is to put it through an autoclave. What they did was wipe it off with Rubbing Alcohol, which does not kill all the germs. It was not sanitary.

  • i got mine as a new born big woop!?

  • Woah she's brave for her age! Most little girls would have cried!

  • @KahmeiGaGa Wiping the gun clean is not the same as sterilising something in an autoclave like professional piercers do. There is a big difference between clean and sterile.

  • my mom doesnt take me to claires or anywhere esle to get my ears pearced, she buy some gold earing and makes my ears pierced herself, she just uses that earing to make the hole in my ear,it a little bit of less pain that a piercing gun.

  • So kute

  • Eagerbeavers1130

    It Was Vaseline

  • oh god, now im crying because im suppose to be getting my ears peirced tomorrow and you guys are scaring the CRAP outta me......im ganna have a hartattack cuz im going to clairs and now im scared...

  • @viptumblers It's not too late to change your mind. To give your piercings the best possible start and chance of healing properly consider going to a professional studio to have them pierced with hygienic one-use needles like this little girl. If she can do it you can too.

  • so cute and brave! Im just curious as to what that wide part is on the tip of the needle?

  • aww congrats to her she didnt cry what a big girl here take this loloipop!!!

  • I had my ears pierced at Claire's when I was 8. I wish, wish *wish* we had waited and had it done with a needle. The placement on one ear is slightly off, and, 10 years later, the holes will not close up, so I can't rectify this.

About 2 weeks after I got them pierced, the back of my earing got swallowed up into the lobe and I had to get it taken out with tweezers. It's such a bad idea to use guns.

  • *Slow clap*

  • piercing guns are not good... it is better with a needle from a professional piercer

  • do the guns or needles hurt more?

  • @sophiez2000 NEEDLE. TRUST ME. I got all 3 of my percings done by gun. One up top and then a normal percing..is fast and easy. NEVER HAD A INFECTION!! GOT FIRST PERCING DONE WHEN 4.GOT A PERCING UP TOP COUPLE WEEKS AGO...im 12...lmfao xD

  • @vipCP10 "im 12", it shows.

Fast and easy does not equate to safe and hygienic in this context. You really need to do more research in to this topic before spouting your anecdotes as some kind of evidence.

  • @sophiez2000 Gun

  • @sophiez2000 guns. people think that the needle hurts more because you can see it go through. guns cause alot more damage.

  • I got my first, second, and cartilage with a gun, and they are fine.

  • say selena gomes 2 times clap 2 times post 2 another video cheak ur voice

  • @TheTarynrowe Well, now they have this stapler like thing to pierce ears instead of a needle so it's just a quick pinch! :D

  • Aawwww

  • Amazing to see a parent not being stupid and bringing their daughter to a proper piercer :D

  • wht ever hapened to a freakin pericing gunn?!?!?

  • @pooger1313 Piercing guns are shit and unsanitary.

  • @pooger1313

They damage the ear lobes. This is much more sanitary, and less damaging to the tissue. Hurts less too, because they use numbing creme that is also an anti-septic

  • how brave lol XDDDDD

  • AWWWW!! At 0:14 if you look really close you can see a tear on her cheek D:! She is so sweet!

  • AWH! Whatta champ. :)

  • why not just get it done with a piercing gun

  • @zachlesterTV Cause with a gun it tears your skin super bad way bigger chance of an infection. They suck!! Needle is the way to do it! :)

  • I got mine in preschool and I left them out to ling so u got them done again in grade 4

  • brave i almost cried when i got mine done lol

  • SHES SO CUTE <3 OMGOMGOMGOMG

  • She so cute!! She sounds adorable!!!

  • maaaannnn i got m,y ear peiced at threee they aint do none that shit my took me to the mall sat me in that chair peiced both my ears gave me a lolipop and called that shit a day

  • i LOVE her face when she gets the earrings in! LO SHE'S AWESSOMEE!

  • y did they pierce it like that? wouldnt they do it with a gun thing? thats how they did mine

  • @shiningstars1997 most ppl get it with a gun but at like tattoo places and some doctors offices they do it w/ a needle.

  • she';s really cute

  • igot mine pierced with a gun a fashion fair when i was 3. it didnt even hurt a tiny bit.

  • I have gotten six piercings, all of them were done with a needle. It hurts A Lot less than with a gun. Also, the people that do it with a needle are not professionals.

  • oh wow that looks ten times scarier than getting it done at like claires o-o

  • Hahah I thought the woman was barking at her like a dog towards the end

  • I really wish more parents understood how much better than a piercing gun this really is.

  • shes sooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I got mine done when i was 3 (;

  • She took hers better than I took mine. And I'm a 24 year old man.

  • She took it soooo well for someone so young (:

  • hoops for a 4 year old?

  • that girl is braver than i would of been! i got mine done at claires when i was like 9, if i saw a needle that big i wouldn't of stuck around long enough!

  • OHMIGAWSH! PIERCING NEEDLE! :D

I hate piercing guns. They're traumatic.

I'm gonna do piercings and tattoos when I grow up. NEEDLES FTW! :3

  • She did so good, she was laughing... nice job both of you [:

  • She's tougher than me...

  • she looks so cute and brave

  • Awww. Congrats!

  • what's that stuff on the tip of the needle?

  • @scarypacman Aintibacterial Ointment to lubricate the needle.

It makes it easier so you don't have to jam the needle in 6 times. They had half the needle lubed up with that stuff when I got my lips done, haha :3

  • She a G ! Even doe she looks about 6.. Not 4. =)

  • i got my ears pierced when i was six months old....

  • i love this vid. im glad she used a needle instead of a gun. it causes less trauma 2 the ear. i wish i would have gotten all my ear piercings done with a needle.

  • She is So Brave :)

  • Whats it like getting it done with a needle? i got all mine done with a gun o_o

  • aweh, little chubby four year old <3 that's adorable !

  • Lolz when I was little, I was ears pierced by my Auntie using a sewing needle....I was about 1 so i don't really no how painful it was but anyways I miss her so much. R.I.P. my mama :'(

  • sly

  • Old school :)

  • YAY! Kudos to you for standing out in the sea of people getting their kids done with piercing guns!

  • @vexxtr0n Exactly!! About time someone is smart enough to get ears pierced the RIGHT way!! I'm sick of seeing these idiot parents taking their child to a place that uses a gun!!! UGH!

  • @RedSoxFreak85 i got mine with a gun. WHY DID U CALL MY PARENTS IDIOTS?!? and it really isnt bad for ear lobes. only for other parts ur most likely to get infected.

  • @rachelxvanilla All piercing guns are bad. They're terrifyingly unsanitary, they force a BLUNT object through your skin, leaving an unsightly hole, and the aftercare after such a procedure is a bitch, not to mention ridiculous and not recommended by an actual piercing artist. They're also used by people who do not have licenses to pierce. Your parents are idiots for taking you to get it done, and for not properly educating themselves or you about the dangers of piercing guns.

  • @LessthanatVideos 1.the object isnt blunt. 2.i can see the hole just fine. 3.the aftercare is fine. 4.there is a professional piercer who has a youtube and she said they arent always bad. 5. u dont need a license to pierce lobes. 6. shut up jerk. and i already knew what CAN happen and they did too! u have to in order to get it done.

  • @rachelxvanilla Uhm, yeah, the object is blunt. Just like a sewing needle or safety pin. It might look sharp to your eye, but remember- microscopically it isn't. And I think LTAV means the aftercare that places such as Claire's or Piercing Pagoda provide isn't healthy for the piercing. The jewelry / metal can end up being unhealthy for the fresh piercing, too. And uh, you need a license to pierce. You're basically creating a wound so you have to know what you're doing...Educate yourself.

  • @rachelxvanilla actually, legally, you need a license to pierce ANY body part on someone else. I have NO idea how the hell Claire's and what not get away with it. They're not properly trained. And also, just because one "professional piercer on youtube" (how do you know she's actually a licensed piercer and not just someone who calls themself a "pro" anyway?) doesn't mean she's correct. That "professional" you're talking about is NOT a good piecer if she thinks guns are okay.

  • @rachelxvanilla When being pierced with a gun, you're being pierced with the earring. Earrings are blunt. In a piercing parlor, you're handed a baggy of sea salt and told to soak your earlobes in sea salt solution. In a place that uses guns, you're given some sort of "ear cleaning solution" and told to dip a q tip in it and wipe it around the piercing. Q-tips leave behind fibers that trap bacteria, which is extremely dangerous for a fresh piercing.

  • @rachelxvanilla All LIABLE piercing artists will agree with me that guns are bad, and that you should have any and all piercings done by a professional. If a piercer is stating that guns are safe, that piercer's license should be revoked immediately. Unfortunately, you don't need a license to pierce earlobes, though people without licenses have close to no knowledge about how to actually pierce people.

  • @rachelxvanilla These people are taught how to put the jewelry in the gun and how to aline dots; they aren't taught the YEARS of training and experience needed to safely and professionally pierce someone. "Shut up jerk"? Really? What are you, twelve? Also, "unsightly" means unpleasant to the eye, not unable to see. Educate yourself.

  • @LessthanatVideos i said "shut up jerk" because you called my parents idiots. i mean sure piercing guns arent as good as needles. but they are usually not recomended for cartilage. and i bet over 85% have gotten them pierced with guns. and if you take good care of them then they wont get infected. and you dont have the right to call people and idiot when you dont even know them. end of conversation. BYE

  • @rachelxvanilla The problem is, people who are stupid enough to use guns probably aren't smart enough to properly care for their piercing. I have the right to call anyone anything I want. It's not like I said you and your entire family was mentally retarded for no reason; your parents acted like idiots, and so I called them as such. If you saw someone in a wheel chair, would you not assume they had some sort of leg injury?

  • @LessthanatVideos that example is completely different than calling someone a name.

  • @LessthanatVideos you have the right to call whoever anything you want. How about this: Depressed teenaged emo who hates her parents (who pay your bills) and comes on youtube to pretend being an educated person, always fighting and making your parents sad, and argue about a simple thing: Female Earpiercing, with an arrogant channel with arrogant videos. How does it feel? not good. No you havent that right girl, grow up, get a job, stop wasting parents money and you will know what LIFE is about.

  • @TheKrustaceox I must say, you are simply awful at insulting. I just cannot take you seriously. Nothing you say is relevant or makes any sense whatsoever. When attempting to insult someone, it would be in your best interest to try and find aspects of the person that actually fit them, instead of just pulling random shit out of your ass in an attempt to sound unflattering, because your tactic really does not work at all. How does it feel? Absolutely hilarious XD

  • @TheKrustaceox I have the right to call someone whatever I please, just as you do, though I do think I use that right much better and wiser than you, considering nothing you've said thus far has made any sense whatsoever. Really now, are YOU retarded?

  • @LessthanatVideos nice 4 full comments. Clap my hands for you, but sorry that i didnt read beyond "im LAUGHING SO HARRRD!", got tired and happy that you were laughing ;) . Keep calling people's parents retardeds as you go on with your pathetic life, bye sweet-heart ◕‿‿◕

  • @TheKrustaceox You sent me two or three; it was only enough to prove everything you said incorrect and ridiculously stupid. And again, I have yet to call someone retarded. Learn to read, and learn to properly insult someone. The only one who looks pathetic here is you. 'Kay thanks :D

  • @LessthanatVideos you have no right of calling someone parents "retarded" as compared to them, you're so much inferior, you're just a emo revolted teenage ;) (a.k.a Sack of Shit) Please put yourself in your place. And yes 96% of female gets earpiercing with a gun, are you the same person who will get your son circumcised? Well, doesnt matter, reply with your so praised educated knowledge, and i will automatically presente my dick with a piercing ;) Have a nice day, and go to hell, emo.

  • @TheKrustaceox LMFAO YOU ARE SO FUCKING STUPID I CAN'T EVEN STOP LAUGHING. Emo is a direct insult given to the music genre Emotive Hardcore Punk and its followers, and seeing as I do not listen to Emotive Hardcore, your "comeback" not only is completely irrelevant, but beyond ridiculous and comical. I actually decided a year or two ago that if I had a son, I would allow him to choose whether or not he wanted to be circumcised.

  • @TheKrustaceox And I actually just sifted through the comments; not once did I use the word retarded. I said so-and-so's parents weren't very smart by putting their child in danger for the sake of a purely aesthetic and unnecessary piercing. While I appreciate your attempt, I suggest researching a bit more and more thoroughly thinking over your comments before trolling, child.

  • @LessthanatVideos The "dangers of piercing guns"? Seriously? xD It's just an ear piercing, I don't really think it matters how it's done or who does it so long as it's effective and sanitary. The difference in this type of procedure done by a professional vs. some random off the street seems pathetically small. I bet the only difference is one person can wave around a license and charge ten times as much.

  • @rachelxvanilla it's bad for everywhere to use a gun

  • this little girl is so adorable :]

    she took it so well!

  • That little girl is AWESOME!!! she took it so well!! And she's super cute!!

  • give that girl a balloon and sticker, she rocks!!

  • R u 2 really basing this argument on how to pierce an ear.....I mean we get it there are different ways to pierce an ear, and you both have different opinions..

  • that looked like it hurt like a bitch!!!

  • The hollow needle used here is the preferred method if you want to avoid scar tissue.

  • She's SO CUTE!

  • I am an assistant manager at Claires. Some of the comments are incorrect. All of our stuff is completely sterile. We clean the gun at least twice before even loading the earring to the gun. If you have thicker lobes, we do have long post earrings as well. The needle is not as quick. Yea the actual piercing itself is about the same time, but you also have to put the earring in. why not just have the earring already in. The needle is also scary for kids.

  • @avasmommy11209 Cleaning the gun doesn't make it sterile. In order for the gun to be completely sterilized it needs to be autoclaved which it can't because of the plastic parts in the gun. It's not just about the thickness of the lobes, the jewelery also needs to be longer to allow room for swelling and cleaning during the healing process. "why not just have the earring already in?" the earring is not nearly sharp enough to safely pierce through skin, that's why a needle is used.

  • @CrystalAkawa If it wasn't done properly then why is it that i personally do about 13 piercings a day. I work 6 days a week. Obviously the earring is sharp enough to go through skin, considering I do it all day nearly every day. Claire's would not be allowed to pierce ears if it wasn't safe or sterile. As for the actual gun, it doesn't even touch the ear. The only thing that touches the ear is the earring, which comes in a sterile package.

  • @avasmommy11209 You fail to realise that in comparison to a cannula needle the gun stud is basically blunt and causes trauma to the surrounding tissue. Guns studs are also made of poor quality metals and often contain nickel which many people are allergic to. Gun studs cannot be sterile as they, like the gun, cannot be autoclaved.

As for why you're allowed to pierce with guns, god knows. I wish you and many others weren't. I'd happily see those cattle-tagging HIV traps banned.

  • @deadinside7 A child is more afraid of seeing a huge needle vs an earring. And if the way we pierce is so horrific, then it would be banned. but because of the precautions we take it's still acceptable. Millions of people get their ears pierced at Claires. sorry if you are not one of them, but there are others so I'm not too worried. As for the earrings,we do have some stainless steel earrings, which I will agree are not the greatest of qualities, but we also have 14k gold, which is suggested.

  • @avasmommy11209 Smoking is horrific but that hasn't been banned either. Sadly there's not a lot of research been done by councils and other authorities in to proper piercing regulations.

I like the way you talk about piercing like you know what you're doing. If you did you'd realise that gold isn't a good material for initial jewellery either, and stainless steel is horrible to use in a new piercing.

More parents like the one in the video should do their own research to avoid guns.

  • @deadinside7 Seriously, the way we pierce ears is not "horrific". Something like that, where children are involved, would be a top priority to government IF there was something wrong with it. I personally have had my piercings done there, and have had ZERO problems. The one piercing i got with a needle was not at the right angle and was in the wrong spot, nd had to let grow shut. I do know what I'm doing, thank you very much. Gold is 100% hypoallergenic.

  • @avasmommy11209 A quick google search will tell you that gold is not hypoallergenic. Titanium is, perhaps you were mistaken.

As for the government being involved, that's a laugh! Like they'd get involved with something like that, they barely look in to the regulations involved with care homes etc.

Cause =/= correlation, your lone anecdotal evidence is not proof.

If you did a little bit of research in to this topic you'd realise that things you are spouting as truth are incorrect.

  • @deadinside7 I'm sorry, how many ears do you pierce a day? I do this every single day. It really doesn't matter what your personal opinion is, it's not going to change anything. There are still are millions of people who will get their ears pierced at Claires. Think what you want, but i will still be piercing ears with the earring vs a needle.

  • @avasmommy11209 It's not just my personal opinion, it's knowledge acquired through years of research and speaking to many professional piercers and I find it a shame that you won't even take the time to look past your own wilful ignorance to do some yourself. But hey, please yourself if that's the way you want to approach learning.

And by the way, piercing ears everyday doesn't make you a professional on the subject. Any idiot with a relatively sharp object can pierce another person.

  • @deadinside7 Legally no, not every "idiot" can pierce ears. I know from my own experience that more people prefer getting pierced with an earring vs a needle. It really doesn't matter what kind of pointless research you have done. The preference of kids and parents is the earring, not a needle. why? because a needle is scary for kids and not as quick as the earring. At this point your opinion doesnt matter. Call me ignorant all u want, doesnt mean you know me at all.

  • @avasmommy11209 you wont still be piercing ears with the earring, because you were never piercing it in the first place, you're tearing the ear and damaging it, on the other hand the hollow needle is slicing through the area actually PIERCING it

  • Comment removed

  • @divinemoon16 key word, sharp, earrings are not sharp, they are dull, blunt objects which is why they tear/ rip through the ear, so yea, it does matter

  • Comment removed

  • @divinemoon16 ok maybe they are sharp enough to push through your ear, but i actually have piercing needles and if i take one and tap it on my arm i will start bleeding, i could do that with a starter earring for like a year straight and still wouldn't bleed, for something that's putting a hole through part of my body that's not sharp to me, just saying....

  • Comment removed

  • @divinemoon16 i never said we were arguing, just stating a fact lol,

  • @deadinside7 It determines the karat number for it to be considered hypoallergenic and it can't contain nickle, but yeah, gold can be considered hypoallergenic. (I actually DID look this up)

  • @masterchaosdemon Fair enough, though it'd still not be a suitable material to use in new or healing piercings because it scratches easily which can irritate and tear the fistula.

Gold plated jewellery also shouldn't be used, however from what I remember most gun studs are plated and have nickel underneath which can cause problems with allergies.

  • she is soooooo cute!

  • What hurts more the needle or the gun?

  • this is one of my fave ear piercing videos ever!

  • Such a cute smile awhhh(:

  • i got my ears pierced at 5 and they used a gun it was over with so quickly my mom says i didnt have time to cry also they pireced my teddys ears too still got that bear with the earrings in it and i have 2 holes in each ear now

  • I am the top ear piercer at the Claire's store I work at, and I still cringe every time someone brings in their child to get pierced. If your child wants to get their ears pierced, you should be a responsible parent and not let a 16-year-old STAPLE earrings into your child's ears. Seems like common sense to me.

  • brave lil girl

  • so cool girl

  • The needle doesn't hurt. The girl is laughing right after the piercings are done. Needles are safer and faster because they can be sterilized, and use a sharp tip rather than blunt force to make the hole.

  • Omg, man she is brave i am 12 and i swear i would cry if i got my ear's pierce like that :(

  • She is sooo fricken cute!
