@18lerv I completely agree. I was so lost on the story, I didn't get it at all. Things weren't as clear or comprehensible as in Final Fantasy, but the gameplay was equally as addictive and the replay value was over the top. I don't know how I could've liked this game so much, in spite of it's overwhelmingly gross flaws. I still wouldn't mind giving it another playthrough.

world map 2 is reall ytouching, here is a quick story, back in 2003 i borrowed a PSX and this game from a friend, he didnt have a memory card, so i started playing this game non stop, i got so hooked, from 10am, til 5 am next day, i got all the way to disc 2 and i remember the world map music 2, the princess at the castle killed me, no save data, so i lost all my progess in one shot

i loved leaving boss battles on so i could listen to the music lol... thats one thing i miss in JRPGS... they seem to have gotten rid of the full turn based part... so you cant just sit there in one fight for twelve hours with no penalty lol

I love Legend of Dragoon soo much I like all of the discs! But unfortunately my disc 1 got scratched and it don't work anymore but all my other discs work just fine but I still can't play those because i lost my memory card that had all my saved games from all the other discs on it *Sob*

i considered the 1st one to be my favourite, the story line fit very well together with everything, even with the loss of lazitz. i would have to say in order, my faves are 1,3,2,4 but i havent been able to complete the 3rd disc [DAMN GRAND JEWEL!] but ive seen the 4th disc played, just not beaten it myself :[

now i dont even have the games and the cheapest copy here is $30

@ReneGade899 I would definately say... 1-2-3-4. Four is just Fecking hard unless you grind for hours on end. They are all excellent, the game gets very interesting and amazing as it goes on, but nothing beats that first exploration into the world like you get from disc one. I think for most games, the first disc always holds a top 1 spot in gamer's hearts because of how it introduced the player into the world.

Legend of Dragoon is the best RPG hands-down! I'm so glad I have a copy of it still. No one is going to get there hands on it. Even if someone offers me a million bucks I wouln't never give it away. LOD is Priceless!

I'll agree on the last sentence, at least. I haven't tried this particular game, though(due to a demo disk I played years ago, where I found the name "Black monster" so lame that I dropped it). But take f.ex. FFVII. That game has an insane atmosphere. I don't know what it is; it's not nostalgia, I bought the game 1-2 years ago. It's just... something. Anyway, these new games... I rarely feel that "something" in them. You understand what I mean?
