Nice Brian, thanks for these origin informational tutorials. Was finding these "origin tracks" by accident or from your vast knowledge of dance music through the decades.
have you ever attempted to cut up that billy joel song to make "high fidelity" wow its hard. i got a couple of the right ones, but they have like 3 voice clips mashed together in a single word.
Good job dude, I love discovering where the original samples come from. I remember the first time I heard Will Smith's "Miami" and was like, "Is that The Whispers?!" Keep it up.
Thanks! I've got lots of them. If you go to djtutor dot com and look at my section under MUSIC, you will see a section called Origins. There are several you can watch there
what you dont care you making loads of vids full of bulls**t making people believe stuff that isnt true
and you are slacking off daft punk know
saying there lying and faking this song. But why do they say all the songs they did edit but just avoided this one
look all over youtube, there are loads of vids saying this is daft punk samples but there not true, even thomas bangaltar himself said it himself, he did the search all over youtube and said nearly all are not true.
you may but why is it not said anywere except here that its sampled. Even daft punk themselves said it wasnt but they did say they sampled others songs from discovery, because thats the whole point of the album, they wanted 2 remind people of old music and bring it back to life. And all the samples they did use they didnt edit them, and this is edited. so..HA
We've got 3 more videos covering this subject. At one point, I cut up an unedited version of Eddie Johns More Spell On you. What it comes down to is I don't care what Daft Punk says. This IS in One More TIme. It's processed to the max but it's there. I have no idea why they do not list this in the credits nor do I care.
I gotta say this pisses me off, I thought that at least this song was totally original by them because they give no credit to this song in the liner notes (they do with others). And they really didn't do much to it, eq'd and compressed it and threw some vocals over it.
Check out the song High Fidelity by them if you haven't, it's got samples from Billy Joel's "Just the Way You Are", now THAT's an impressive remix.
Oh ya also Superheroes is probably the one that impresses me the most, they took a snippet of Barry Manilow's "Who's Been Sleeping in My Bed" and made a completely different and imo better song out of it.
Don't let it piss you off! HA! Check my channel and have a look at one of my recent videos "Some Copy/Paste of Eddie Johns More Spell On You". I reconstruct the sample. They actually did a great job with it!
i just found out that one of my favourite djs - Busy P is daft punks menager apparently. I saw a pic of them in like robot suits or something on each side of busy p.
anyway useless as it may be (i don't think it is) i love finding out the deeper level of things... behind stuff.
Daft Punk is the best artist ever!!!!
