You have to have the badge from Brock to get Charmander. The badge from Misty to get Bulbasaur. The 3rd gym badge to get squirtle.

actually i believe all three are based off the episodes that ash gets them in; bulbasaur was hurt n then taken care of but ash eventually got it, charmander nearly died in the rain (in the game's case, the trainer was still going to release it), n a squirtle that got into mischief (squirtle squad)

I have had the same idea as silentboy12 for like 3 years. All your Pokemon are sent to the PC and restricted until you beat that regions elite four and Pikachu is put at 5 again. You get a starter each time and go through all regions. In order: Kanto, Johto, Hohen, Shinoh, Unnova, and new one. That would be SOOOO EPIC

@silentboy12 unless it take place in a pallel world where they been beaten but didn't disbanded or one of their members revived them, then it could happened but Team Magma and Aqua disbaned in Gen 3 (Gen 1 if you count them being together) and Team Rocket along with Galactic got disbanded in Gen 2 and 4 so it wouldn't work, but i don't know about Plasma through.

By the way, you don't need to use potion 25 times or whatever to get bulbasaur.

Simple have pikachu on level 20 ( or more but not sure if it works ) and as long as it's happy, she will give it to you. How to get your pikachu happy? use him in most fights, or give him a potion or 2 if he's hurt just before you try!

After defeating elite 4 with this team i started to level up my mewtwo from 70 to 98( ongoing ) and i only used him to defeat elite 4 and gary and finished them 6-8 times cause i want him to become Lvl 100. I skipped catchng mew because he sucks ass only Lvl 7.

@yuruwha mew actually grows levels faster than others. he requires less experience and has higher stats than others. i got my mew from level 7 to 55 in just 3 hours. it was designed easy to train because it was obtained at such a low level. plus it can learn any TM and HM making training easier for him and even faster. but of course you'd know this if you had bothered to capture a mew

@cobwebe i know whats your saying but do you bother leveling up your mew if you still have to power up your 1st 6 pokemons...of course even though you finished the elite 4 do you still have another opponents beside of those 4 and gary? i defeated all the trainers before facing the 4 and gary so if im going to level up my mew there is no chance that he can face the pokemons of 4 and gary.. except if your going to just use some strategy

Every single person that has played the yellow version know how to get the 3 starting pokemon. One of the reasons Yellow version was the best of the first three (red, blue, yellow).
