Prefer Dilla solo and MadLib solo really MadLib is so erratic it's difficult to get into everything he does these late Dilla beats are ok, but I think they are more of a commodity than his early work. Check out Damu The Fudgemonk f you want to hear some soulful music. Every track he has produced is seamless.
