Tried the demos for Blitz, Madden & BackBreaker, BackBreaker was the only one that was actually fun to play. Perfect? Of course not. No videogame ever made is perfect enough to stand up to the absurd scrutiny shown in this video. What I see here is an incredible breakthrough in nuanced AI/Physics character interaction that anyone who has ever played a game before should be impressed by. It's easy to tear down ANY game, but in the end it's either fun to play or it isn't and to me BackBreaker IS.
c'mon guys, the gameplay is better in backbreaker. the passing system is awesome! and the change of vision is a great feature. with madden we always view the field from the same camera angle. with backbreaker, we control the players head and look around wherever we choose. backbreaker is not perfect but it's damn good for the 1st year.

Like in Madden 2003 I saw a rare glitch when the Pittsburg Steelers were playing my team in the super bowl and they tried to make a PA from thier own 2 and the funny part is I was the one who scored the TD not the steelers and I was supposed to do the PA attempt.

If they make another Backbreaker game, good, bad, or ugly, they should take a page from Street Fighter III Online Edition and allow you to be able to upload replays straight to YouTube. Even without that feature there are a plethora of plays that have been uploaded and people who like to upload hits and bloopers. With that as well as the addition of being able to use a mic to save commentary of the replay, that would be great.
I've honestly had more fun playing Backbreaker than I have playing Madden. While the game does has it's flaws, it's randomness and physics more than make up for it. Besides, the same physics apply to both your team and the computer team; the other team can't "cheat" like it can in Madden rubberband the difficulty. Besides, for every time you facepalm as your teamates run into each other, you'll see the opposing team do the same. Very fun game IMO.

The physics to this game itself, how the players move, what they do, is better than Madden, but there is no real AI, the players are all morons and run around like 5 year olds. There is no season mode, there is no real passing. The game has no entertainment value. You might be in 'awe' about how amazing the physics look, but it's only cool for like an hour or so before you're bored out of your mind.

I love Backbreaker flaws. They actually at least provide something entertaining to talk about. Madden flaws aren't even entertaining. They're "I'm have Ray Lewis but I can't tackle Tomlinson because my weak ass cornerback is trying to" bad.
Besides, it's not like this is every play on Backbreaker, and at least the same rules apply to both CPU and human. The only football game I've seen that can provide difficulty without randomly giving the AI some perk or boost.

You can't get through one quarter of Backbreaker without shutting it off, V. I can't even get through a single 4 down drive in Madden NFL games without cursing EA Sports.
To each their own though. I'll stick to playing games that are truly dynamic. Backbreaker, even though it is flawed, it is dynamic. That is something that Madden NFL games have never been and that includes Madden NFL 12.
I had the most realistic or unusual play ever! I wish my phone didn't break! The opposing team was running no one ran into each other. But the whole offensive line was surrounding the running back in a circle. It was a 24 yard run. They had good focus unlike that team. It was Like crazy. Who else had this where the whole line was out of position in backbreaker? Who saw it In Madden? Real team vs. bbl team is brutal and fun!

@AssassinN8ive you misunderstood my comment. The physics to this game itself, how the players move, what they do, is better than Madden, but there is no real AI, the players are all morons and run around like 5 year olds. There is no season mode, there is no real passing. The game has no entertainment value. You might be in 'awe' about how amazing the physics look, but it's only cool for like an hour or so before you're bored out of your mind.

@AssassinN8ive But there isn't, which is the point on why it sucks. Backbreaker actually wasn't built to be a fun game, the main reason it was released was to show off the new physics engine they put in the game. In the future they'll be working with EA and possible 2K sports to make better games. Backbreaker was never made to actually be a fun game, so to call it fun is stupid.

I love Backbreaker flaws. They actually at least provide something entertaining to talk about. Madden flaws aren't even entertaining. They're "I'm have Ray Lewis but I can't tackle Tomlinson because my weak ass cornerback is trying to" bad.
Besides, it's not like this is every play on Backbreaker, and at least the same rules apply to both CPU and human. The only football game I've seen that can provide difficulty without randomly giving the AI some perk or boost.

You can't get through one quarter of Backbreaker without shutting it off, V. I can't even get through a single 4 down drive in Madden NFL games without cursing EA Sports.
To each their own though. I'll stick to playing games that are truly dynamic. Backbreaker, even though it is flawed, it is dynamic. That is something that Madden NFL games have never been and that includes Madden NFL 12.

I had the most realistic or unusual play ever! I wish my phone didn't break! The opposing team was running no one ran into each other. But the whole offensive line was surrounding the running back in a circle. It was a 24 yard run. They had good focus unlike that team. It was Like crazy. Who else had this where the whole line was out of position in backbreaker? Who saw it In Madden? Real team vs. bbl team is brutal and fun!
