did a few of these buses get replaced by the 60 foot skodas because I dont see them all i see about 40 out of all of them can you try to get a video of the ETI 60 foot trolley buses they are on lines 14, 30, 49, 41 they are 7101-7133 but 2 of them are white they are 7101 and 7102 muni 7103-7133 are gray they ordered these buses in 2003

i rode 2 of the New flyer E60 in that color on route 49 the numbers were 7033 and 7046 i have a video of that

How long are those 1995s 60 ft Flyers going to be around? Do they still got 1991s left active?

I'm not sure when those will retire but I think they will be around for a while. You can still see the E60s regularly on just about any trolley route that uses articulated trolleys (14, 30, 49 lines). Muni used to have 1976 Flyer E800 which have been in service until around 2004 or so.

Real neat. I took that kind of bus to Transbay Terminal to see 38 Geary. I loved the sound of the electricity and the brakes. the brakes sounded like a rail car.

I believe these buses have dynamic brakes along with the regular air brakes. Since the motors are electric they can use the motor to slow the bus down which is why you would hear that electronic sound when the brakes are applied.

on my desktop Back ground i have a 1995 muni e60 7013 and a 2003 ETI 60 ft 7101 bus

The 7000 series were Manufactured in 1993 By New Flyer in Canada.

Will those E60s be refitted with flipdot signs?

Good question. I don't think they will install electronic signs. I remember sometime in the mid 90s they put a electronic sign on one of the E60 but later changed it back to roll sign. In my opinion I like roll signs better. They are easier to read and you can tell from far away if its not in service for example.

The D60s all had electronic signs and they probably could take it from those buses as they retire. But I don't think that would be likely.

Are you referring to the bus behind the the E-60? That is a Amtrack California bus which is probably a MCI bus.

The engine at the end sounds like a Detroit Diesel 6v92ta, must be a different Muni bus.

Ahh, I hate these! They always make this strange rocking motion. But I love the silly wind up noise they make when they speed up.
