  • ford why you no put this in the explorer? :(

  • Absolutely Fake...it's a Ford Commercial

  • @stimachine88 what commercial is 3 minutes long?

  • @SpencerEH135 Only Ford and Chevy when introducing their new products

  • @stimachine88 Yeah, I mean those logs and including the rest of the documentary look so fake? Especially the last one where they used the engine to race in the Baja 1000....just wait until more of this start hitting the highways ( and I was being sarcastic if you didn't notice at the beginning)

  • @j33p74 Only time will tell the truth...i've just tested the Ecoboost, it's amazing really.but not so much

  • @stimachine88 I guess you are right only time will tell but I have my hopes up especially for the rumors of the up coming 4.0 ecoboost

  • @stimachine88 actually it's not. keep crying bitch

  • if this is true why don't the companies that use huge and expensive machines use the trucks....

  • @chuckie3542012 the machines increase production significantly.

  • How the hell are they photoshopped in? All of you Chevy and Dodge guys just need to realize your trucks done even compare to Fords trucks.

  • can it get 412k miles on it like my yota?

  • @thecoltsfan101 if they wanted to, sure. but on avg most people is 150 to 200,000 miles. Then they buy a new car.

  • they are

  • @MrAllmotorB I didn't realize they let blind, delusional retards have Youtube accounts. Thanks for enlightening me.

  • wow kinda sad if you watch those logs closely they photo shoped in lol

  • @MrAllmotorB What logs are photoshopped in? Do be kind and tell me

  • @MrAllmotorB lmfao..your joking right

  • These engineers having been putting there heads to something all this time. Great work!!!

  • Do you know whats funny? Chevy is now copying the classic "built ford tough" steel plate on rock theme. If you look at it, a plate dropps on rock then the chevy symbol appears. Chevy are posers.

  • I'll be impressed when they are still running strong 5 or so years from now.

  • The Engine is strong. What about the rest of the truck?? The drive line in the test vehicle was brand new. Would like to see a transmission and differential at the same mileage as the engine perform the same tests.....

  • @crownedroyal2003 how the fuck were they going to put 160,000 miles on a whole truck that fast? DUMB ASS.

  • When they say that the engine was PULLED from the production floor before it was put into a truck for testing it makes a TEST ONLY ENGINE AND NOT FOR SALE to the public FEDERAL LAW PROHIBITS ITS SALE and when it's done being tested it is DESTROYED or put on display at Ford's World Corporate Headquarters. If you think otherwise you need to get a clue.

  • @87tomify That would be like asking a car to win the baja 1000, It might could do it but wouldn't win. @VARITHMS okay make it win le mans 24hr then.

  • Will it pull a 747 down the runway like a Touareg TDI will? Awesome engine, but it needs more still.

  • @UberWagen are you serious?..you think the volkswagen can outpull a ford ecoboost..now i've heard it all

  • @skidoomxz550x "Fifth Gear: VW Touareg Tows A 747 " copy and paste into search bar. Watch. Enjoy.

  • @UberWagen I'm not doubting that it can...but there is no way that a vw can out pull a ford ecoboost, the ecoboost is the best towing engine in the half ton truck business. It towing capasity is 11,300 lbs, (the VW is probably 5 or 6 thousand) so there is no way that a VW can out haul a ford ecoboost

  • @skidoomxz550x I'm a Ford Tech, so like, I do PDI's and stuff on the new EcoBoost trucks. I will say they're pretty cool and stuff, but just saying from experience, the Touareg feels like it has more power. I'm gonna hate to work on these when they start to break. Absolutely no room around the turbos. Now the new Diesel 6.7....It would probably smoke the Toaureg, It's easier to spin tires in those than it is the Boosted 150's.

  • @UberWagen Would it be possible to put a 3.5L Eco Boost engine and 6 speed transmission into their new Ford Rangers? Because that is what I am waiting for, Rangers with that engine and transmission option would be one fast truck.

  • @crackerisntme i thought the rangers were getting discontinued

  • @crackerisntme A new Ranger is coming soon. Hope its a little bigger with good engine choices. I liked my 99 but not the 4.0 it had. I.m Waiting with you also

  • @indystang Shit man, me and my 1995 Ranger have a love and hate relationship, I love the fact that its a reliable truck and gave me no problems in the 5 Degree weather we have been having lately, but I hate the 112HP 2.3L Four Cylinder it has, it is very slow, I also don't like that it isn't a 4x4, it snows here sometimes and I really needed it the other day and needed to be towed up a snowy hill at church.

  • The Touareg V10 TDI could have done it much better.

  • @ciutacu only problem is the touareg is $35K+ new.

  • @VARITHMS Wow, now I have seen on the net: the F-150 EcoBoost is a little over $25K. It's so cheap! If you had asked me the right price for the F-150 EcoBoost I would have said $45k to $65k for the stock model.

  • can i try this with my ram, but with 3 logs.....

  • 1:26 - 1:40 Is that the actual sound of the engine?

  • @tuffnugly454 Yeah. Why wouldnt it be?

  • @slowride55 because it sounds like a V8.

  • @9cobra4 Yah I thought that too.

  • This engine is the real deal. My dad has one of these in his 4300 lb Taurus SHO pushing 365hp and 350 lbs torque throughout the whole rev band. I own an 09 Mustang GT with the 4.6L V8 with some upgrades making it around 340 hp and just over 300 lbs torque. The taurus is much heavier than the mustang but they are very even in a quarter mile, the SHO may win depending on shifting in the mustang

  • So they put a used engine in a new truck? I feel bad for the owners that have to use that engine.

  • ford was nothing in my mind until the ecoboost now im ready to change my mind fuel economy and horsepower defiantly the truck of the future thats y i got shares in ford (Y)

  • ford was nothing in my mind until the ecoboost now im ready to change my mind fuel economy and horsepower defiantly the truck of the future thats y i got shares in ford (Y)

  • do they have an eco boost raptor?

  • @Davaith Yeah I've been asking that question since they came out w/ the EcoBoost technology: I mean seeing how Ford could take and make a V-12 engine out of 2 V-6 Duratec's (Jaguar when they owned them) THEN I'm sure they could EASILY do it NOW if they'd just get off their collective butts then it would be done.

  • holy crap. that is effing retarded.

though, I would like to know which parts were replaced. Surely if i bought a F150 from a dealer and drove 150K km's and did this log test I'm sure I would have to change some parts. And if not, That is effing BEAST.

  • All i can say is holy shit! Man i love ford

  • come on.. seriously... 1:15. I never saw hook wagging like that under any load and these guys are doing it with bare hands while attaching chains... I love the truck, but my god some of Ford's marketing is ridiculous...

  • The eco boost motor is very impressive no doubt about it. But what the hell does towing some logs up a hill prove? Im pretty sure anyone that has went gathering firewood with their old pick-up has done the same thing or similar. Why make such a big deal about such a simple easy task?

  • @mike4x4chevy48 you really should watch the video over and please this time turn up the volume

  • @mike4x4chevy48 watch the rest of the series bro. as they said at the end, it was just a warm up

  • @mike4x4chevy48 Pulling a 3500 pound log (or whatever it weighs) up a hill while its dragging into the dirt with a V6 is quite a feat to perform....And I doubt most people cut down a tree in the woods and drag it out with their pick up, maybe cut it up first but not drag it out

  • Ford brought it. Period. Tell GMC and Dodge to go home.

  • 1:09 Dip much?

  • @PowerInMN got get that Copenhagen

  • I sell trucks at a Ford Dealership in Winnipeg, MB and this engine is amazing!!! These trucks are going to sell like crazy!!!

  • @sbayer02 I sell as well, this engine can be summed up as a,"Gamechanger" This truck is gonna change the truck market as we know it

  • visit ecoboostfseries. com for f150 ecoboost forums

  • i'm impressed!!

  • WOW I didnt know you could upload pornography on youtube? I would dryhump that thing!

  • chevy v6 and dodge v6 can't do that !!! no fuckin way!!!! only a ford twin turbo v6 can do it !!!!! it has 420 FPT and 365 HP conpare that to v6 chevy and v6 dodge. hahaha it 3.5L doing more as a 5.7hemi and more than 5.3 chevy it like wake-up ford is taking over the truck industry !!! yes sir :)

  • @gatorboy1990 The Ecoboost was introduced early 2011 in the XL, STX, XLT, FX2, Lariat, FX4, SVT Raptor, King Ranch, Platinum, Lariat Limited, and the Harley Davidson edition F-150s.

  • Join forums at EcoboostFseries{dot)com

  • Im pretty sure all the half tons on the market today could pull some sticks up a hill. Not hating on the ford its a good truck but my damn grand cherokee in 4 low would pull that

  • @twincylinder at half the speed it might do it

  • 21 people are not Ford tough.

  • Does that sound like a V8 to anyone??

  • @tCson The Ecoboost is a twin turbo V6 with 365 horsepower.

  • @houleyman I know what it is, but I think they dubbed V8 sounds in there

  • @tCson I doubt it. It depends on the exhaust system they are using.

  • @tCson Alan Mullaly was the CEO of Boeing. He uses materials they use on airplanes. This is why the vehicles are performing better.

  • @houleyman Exhaust I agree on, but what does the rest have to do with how this TT V6 sounds kinda like a V8 in this video??

  • @tCson Again, they use different materials on the current F-150s. My Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera sounds good on high rpms. It's only a 3.3 L V6.

  • @tCson In addition, the design of the engine with the exhaust configuration is what creates the sound.

  • @tCson I was thinking the same. I have no doubt that it is indeed the EcoBoost being tested, but why did they dub in a V8 exhaust note?

  • @thegreatkingdaniel Thank you, I knew I wasn't crazy, shame on Ford advertising for not letting us hear what this engine REALLY sounds like.

  • @tCson Agreed. V6's don't sound THAT bad. haha.

  • Comment removed

  • @houleyman Dude, just stop.

  • All it needs is some nice 32 inch all terrerains.

  • good video about the engine. now i wonder about the other parts of the truck like the transmission and such

  • @manlyman6392 "a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission that's specifically designed for the higher torque demands of the all-new twin-turbocharged, direct injection engine."

  • I like the f-150, but i think my little ford ranger with low 4wd would be able to move those logs, maby not as fast but get the job done. 3 logs at a time would be a more worthy haul for the ecoboost. it looked like it was hardly trying with just one, wasnt even spining tires.

  • bye bye tranny

  • @payanhilario are you saying good night to your girlfriend?

  • impressive. Cool vid too.

  • Can't believe Ford shows a chain hooked over a trailer hitch ball. That's not safe. A clevis should have been used.

  • @1999z71silverado

    No, they aren't.

  • those twin turbo chargers help tht engine alot im sure gm will make a new truck engine soon. maybe a 5.3l turbo charged idk if anything could beat tht

  • @1999z71silverado

No, GM won't. First of all if they turboed the 5.3 it woud be a street-only sport model. But GM already has the 6.2.

  • @SecularTechnology well they are gonna have to make something similar to the ecoboost

  • This video is sped up. The truck was in 4-Low and first gear. Notice the video editing

  • @chase312 Maybe so, but you saw the torque graph didn't you? and there's plenty more testing where that came from.

  • @1vdn992 I'm not doubting the power of the truck. I'm just saying that this video is heavily edited to make you think you can pull a big ass log at 30 mph

  • yeah cause I drive from -20 to +100 in minutes and I to a lot of logging and skidding. I don't want to use a skid-steer I wanna use my brand new pickup truck.

I always race on the track pulling a trailer for 24 hours straight. Me and my chev and dodge buddies are always racing in the desert pulling trailers on weekends and I need a 4.3 second victory over them. this is the truck i need!

reminds me of the kirby vacuum salesman the vacuums up bullets (fake ones) and sticks it on ceiling

  • LMFAO Nice v8 sound :P

  • LOOK! Ford finaly caught on!! this is what the bowtie has done for years

  • I will fight anyone to own that test engine!! Too bad it will probably go in the museum... =)

  • i have a 2010 ford ranger with a 4.0L best truck i have ever had!

  • I have 4 Ford trucks that I absolutely abuse. My '87 F-250 460 and '89 F-250 302 are used just like the F-150 in this video, a few times a week. I load the '87 full, bottom of the bed to the top of the cab, with oak logs, while pulling a trailer loaded 6 feet high with oak, and I have to go deep in the woods to get it. same with the '89 302. I use the 4.6l '08 F-150 for towing 6,000 up and down a 7,000 foot mountain. the 5.4l F-150 has it fairly easy. It's a pest control truck, but always loaded

  • @violentbiscuits I agree Ford does go out of the box to change there reputation I think that definetly now ford is far from the competition... Don't get me wrong though chevy and dodge and who gives a shit about Toyota can be good companies at times but I Still think ford is way way up there

  • FORD was touring around the 2011 f-150 with the EcoBoost. I Test drove the 2011 F-150 with the EcoBoost it was awesome. BIG FORD FAN!

  • @magnum9987 your are one of the dumbest persons alive.. How ignorant can you be saying people dont care about fuel effiency? And ya pulling a boat is fine but when you have Backhoes, steel wheel roller thats heavy stuff.. Fuel effiency is your main concern when you own a fleet or 8 trucks 4 Frieghtliners and 2 KW's.. oh and by the way all we own for work are ford.. We had a chevy 6.0 HD 2500 but that peice of crap broke down.. But ford on the other hand has lasted us longer then chevy or dodge!

  • I am or was a chevy guy, Ford is really doing there homework and now they are pulling ahead of the rest.

  • fuck those 20 chevy lovers that disliked this video

  • cleveland engine plant!!

  • Twin independent varible valve timing in a truck platform is all new, for ALL the auto makers. Lets see a Honda tow 10,000 lbs. And as for the twin turbo set up, its a TRUE twin turbo set up, not a twin SEQUENTIAL turbo setup which is entirely different.

  • F.ound O.n R.oad D.ead screw there marketing whoopiedie doo dah deh they managed to put variable valve timing cough (honda did how many generations ago?) and twin turbo that supra's have been doing for how many race winning power monsters? ford may have put that shit into a truck but still way over hyped.... calm yourselves ford engineers chevy still for the win! gutty fuckin F1shiddys

  • @btownhuffy You are a dumb ass. The Supra is TOTALLY comparable to a pickup. *not* Bedsides, chevy has a weak ass frame. I will admit that this is marketing, and only time will tell just how strong this motor is. But so far, with what we have to judge the f150 is walking away with your beloved chevy.

  • @btownhuffy And what has Chevy done? At least Ford is taking steps to be better, Chevy just realeses some bullshit and then forgets it. Ford thought ahead this year, and is deffinately raping chevy up the ass now.

  • it finished the Baja race, no problems, this is the 300 straight six motor reincarnated into a 3.5 v6 hehehe

  • There are now no reasons whatsoever not to but a Ford F-150. This new engine line-up is going to take what is an already excellent truck and to an exceptional truck. Ford F-150 is the best half-ton truck that you can buy. PERIOD.

  • @lariatfx Yeah man, caught my eye and I`m a hardcore Yota guy.

  • Best truck in the world... Sorry GM and Dodge lovers. Ford rocks.....

  • @elsacudido09 I like my dodge and my jeep, but nothing beats ford, they're just built tough.

  • @elsacudido09 I can let Dodge be 2nd or rd, but GM is out of the equation hehehe

  • @elsacudido09 They are awesome.... except their diesels..... Just the injector design alone with no way to prime is anoying let alone the broken crankshafts and lists of crap.

  • one word=damn

  • 20 ppl are dumfucks

  • 20 people who watched this video must be retarded.

  • Hemi what? Z series who?... Jeez... that V6 is a beast. Twin Turbo FTW!

  • @sinnaever thats wht im talking abouttttt

  • Love that torque curve, everything you want in a half-ton package + fuel economy!

  • Of course the Ford V6 with twin turbochargers beats a NA Chevy v8. God, thats a terrible comparison.

  • @magnum9987 yeaa but thy dont cuz they gov owned peice of sh@#$. if they soo superiour then why they went bankrupt ..

  • @TheSpectator21 Of course you dumb FORD guys can't come with a real argument against GM cars so they bring up the completely unrelated management troubles. and believe me, I am well aware of GM poor management. but that does not affect the cars.

  • @magnum9987 If you can't run the finances of a company, then how the hell can you build a simple internal combustion engine? The reason GM went bankrupt sir, besides their bad business practices, has to do with the fact they can hardly build a car for shit. Not in comparison to Ford at any rate.

All you can do is cry "unfair!" and run away with your tail tucked between your legs.

  • @magnum9987

Well since GM doesn't have a twin turbo V6 what else are they going to compare it to. Your just pissed that GM was too stupid to come up with it themselves.

  • @magnum9987 Thats a good comparison when you stop and think that the ecoboost is basically Fords midrange engine. What about the 5.0L V8? Or the 6.2 they are planning on putting into the Raptor.

Basically Fords new engine lineup totally destroys the rest.

  • holy shit it can pull a log haha jeez i could do that in a jeep lol probably a car of i could get it moven this don't impress me much

  • @chevydiesel350015 Chevy and GMC could pull rocks haha jeez i could that wit my bike..

  • @chevydiesel350015 I'd love to see your pos car pull a 110 THOUSAND pound

    log threw the woods pal.

  • @FireMario87 And thank you tooo..hive fivee..yeeaaa

  • @FireMario87 110 thousand pounds was all the logs weight that was sitting there in the pile one log probably weight bout 8,000 pounds and a car could do it if it got the traction and i aint even got a car pal i have a truck rofl

  • it sounds like a V8

  • I bet my 4x4 E-350 would beat it up the hill, 7.3 diesel with a Banks turbo kit 35"'s and stock gearing 18mpg. Ford needs to start selling the V6 turbo diesel they built for the half tons.

  • @wolfmandan72 Ford never built a V6 diesel? And obv. your diesel could beat it. And why would you customize a van?

  • @ViolentBiscuits

    Wow, just, wow.

  • @makaanDoom ..... WTF ? european cars more reliable then american cars ?? Thats total fuckin bullshit ! I work in the field and europeans have the LEAST reliable cars. Ugly, some, not all. Who cares tho ? Function over form.

  • smart marketing, directly addressing the concern that turbos are only for high rpm, low torque applications.

  • EcoBoost engine advertised with the logging industry....

  • Ruining nature. On TV!

  • American know how is back. I am not even a ford fan, and I like this.

  • so sick of watching these ford/ecoboost videos thru stumble upon...

  • Any turbocharged engin is going to keep an even torque ban!

  • Ford. So impressive.

  • Ford is pretty impressive, but using logging as an example is not. EcoBoost is fucking up the Ecosystem.

  • @HJP007 But I imagine you use plenty of paper and probably live in a wood frame apartment or house?

  • While a GM and a Dodge can probably do this, they cant do it better than the f 150. It can haul more faster and more reliable as of right now, and it can do without you having to worry about wrecking. The truck has more features that allows you to do this than the other two companies and did they men-chin that that F150 was a V6..yeaa. jus sayingg. =]

  • @TheSpectator21 You forgot to mention that its a V6 With TWO TURBOCHARGERS. How convenient you forget that. If GM built a Twin turbocharged V6, it could easily surpass ford. GM has ALWAYS built superior motors.

  • @magnum9987 *If* they built it? Wait, GM doesn't have a twin-turbo offering for their trucks? How sad...

So your argument is that GM WOULD be better IF they had a similar engine...and you admit they don't even have anything close. Haha. Such a sad argument.

  • @Lumadar Thankk youu..i would give you a hand shakee if u were heree haha.

  • @Lumadar You are completely misconstruing what I said.

I said if they had a twin turbo V6. GM builds plenty of V8s that do a brilliant job. No turbos nesessary. Unlike ford who needs to put a turbo on everything to even compete with GM....

  • @magnum9987 Again, epic fail of an argument. Ford doesn't "Need" to use turbos to compete with GM.

In fact, the new 2011 F-150 with the BASE naturally aspirated 3.7-liter V6 runs the same quarter mile as the mid-tier 5.3-liter GM V8! HAHAHAHAHA.

But you are COMPLETELY missing the point of EcoBoost. It isn't that Ford "needs" turbos to make power, its that they CAN use them with smaller engines to create compaarable-to-V8 power with LESS fuel.

    Retard.

  • @Lumadar You got any proof of that claim, ?

And if you want to haul, your last concern is fuel economy. Fuel economy may be good for all the F150 grocery getters out their, but if you want to haul a boat or a trailer, or a broken down ford truck, your last concern is economy.

  • @magnum9987 Well..GM gotta buy their engine from another company..they cant make their own and be good. Second, all their telling u in the video is that they put a twin turbo on a v6 to compete with v8s, thats all. (And they did a good job at it thank you). The facts are out their, so u just gotta look them up, and the ford ecoboost can do what a reguler old v8 can do..tadaa. no other company did that yet except ford..so move on with yalls lifees. me lumadar are goin ride in our RAPTORS.so PEACE

  • @magnum9987 Read it and weep. The 2011 F-150 trounces the GM trucks ACROSS THE ENGINE LINE. Hands down. Go to Autoblog and search for the "First Drive: 2011 Ford F-150 and its four new engines" article. It has a chart with 1/8th mile times and the BASE NA 3.7 Ford V^ beats the Chevy 4.8L V8 and ties the 5.3L V8.

    Poor, sad GM.

  • @Lumadar Yeah, but all of those engines were built THIS YEAR to compete with an engine designed 6 years ago! Ford has had 15 engines in the last 5 years to try and compete with it! And Chevy is unveiling a new motor next year, and Ford will make ANOTHER 15 engines over the next 6 years to compete with it. hahaha. Stupid ford fanboy

  • @magnum9987 dude..just give up.. GMC suckss.. like really hahaha

  • @magnum9987 hmm, well the 5.4 beat the shit out of the 7.0 tractor engine, infact the 5.4 killed the Camaro literally. The 3.0 duratec beat the 3.8, 4.0 beat the 4.3 tractor motor, and as far as 4 bangers go, GM's were never worth a shit, most of the time it was Toyota engines LOL.

  • @FordNissanChevy lmaoo =]

  • @magnum9987 And the 14 Engines GM has put in the Silverado in the past 5 years is better?

  • @magnum9987 Regarding you INCREDIBLY ignorant comment about not caring about fuel economy, first off, you have NO CLUE what you are talking. Fuel economy is very important during towing, and that is why Ford suffered with its last Powerstroke since its fuel economy sucked.

Also, ever heard of CARE? 2016? Get a clue you ignorant moron.

  • @Lumadar Notice the year after CARE. its 2016.

And Chevy is unveiling the 5.5L LS5 that will get MORE torque and MORE power and more efficiency than even this twin turbo'd ecoboost.
