in real life one might crouch or jump, turn and lift one's shoulder, put both hands up in front of one's self, etc.

Personally, I would fear a barking dog more than a segway operator with no balance. and I don't fear dogs.

You can get better results using CGI with standard physics.

I suggest the best test is to tell people to fucking walk, that's what I suggest. Segways are for lazy people with too much spare money. If anyone who doesn't fit in that category owns one - there are other far cheaper and safer "transportation" devices on the market such as a wheelchair or a bicycle.

dude, seriously this crash test is a joke. the only thing that would make it more accurate is if they took the standing dummy and turned him to look away from the segway.

People aren't idiots, they'll see a big 2wheeled contraption coming at them. This is not the same as a crash test in a car where you are sitting and have no mobility. hell, the driver of the segway has time to jump off once he realizes he can't stop.
