  • Interesting that in all of the Beatles' recording studio pic's, George Martin is the guy with the short hair, while the Beatles had long hair (George Harrison said that Martin was the "straight man among the loonies"!). In this, George Martin has the long hair and Paul's is short! Actually, Martin grew his hair long to hide his hearing aids! Occupational hazard for a rock/pop producer.

  • Oh god Russell Harty, what a total oily ass-kisser he was. Paul should have been forced to use a 4 track recorder, 40 tracks smacks of desperation, total over-production.... I don't mind POP but the rest of that album is total rubbish, clever production but just bland dross.

  • That haircut makes Paul look like a Pedophile's dream come true! Oh, wait, Brian Epstein!

  • I think the Interwiewer Is star strucked

  • Paul had probably not had his hair this short since about 1956! It does make him look about 12 years old lol

  • lol at Paul's reaction to "It's the first time I've been very close to you physically" 5:02

  • hahahaha i laughed at that too.

  • Paul is dressed like Alan Partridge in this.

  • Nothing wrong with discrimination. Nature is, God is. Get over it.

  • who are you talking about

  • George Martin is like a dad to him

even though Paul is 42, he looks like a young Mickey Mouse

  • Comment removed

  • He looks like a teenager at 42.

  • @kirchfam Actually he was 41

  • Why is that racist? People are so brain washed these days, doing someone's accent does not make you a racist. Thanks for this.

  • why do you criticize? Is it envy? - talking to the ones that did criticize him.

    Go live!

I love the song...and no it was not racism at 3:15 - he just said it was indian percusssion..what's the problem with that?

    Some people see racism everywhere!

Good to see him at the studio.

1986 - a piece of history - and you complain!

  • racism is gay!

  • @lucillemorigi More like 1983 ? No racism there at all.

  • He's better than you

  • ROFL at 3:17 is that a bit of racism from Paul? OOO Very Good!

  • What sounds like a relatively simple song is much more complex in structure. Ed

  • Two great gentlemen. Luv it !

  • this is PRICELESS!! thanks for sharing this, really

  • McCartney the New Romantic, I cannot believe that hairstyle!!

  • @toulon0 he had his hair cut for the WW1 Pipes video

  • what a surprise

someone brings a cup of tea.

  • Yeah big surprise, especially with the camera being there already.

  • but,

    these kind of things happen...

  • Yes, that's Russel Harty. He is the one that did The Who interview in The Kids Are Alright.

Paul mentions him by name at around 5:00.

  • Sorry that was wrong.

    Paul mentions him at 0:43.

I was reading the lenth of the whole clip by mistake.

  • length

    battin' a thousand today

  • Oh,right. I thought Stuart Sutcliffe was the 5th Beatle??

  • George Martin, often referred to as the fifth Beatle, was the producer of most (all?) of The Beatles tracks.

  • Let It Be was produced by Phil Spector, I believe.

  • Who's George Martin?

  • uah, his hairstyle at that time was so shoking...I loved the moptop and I love his hair now, but that style is simply bad...

Nice to see him at work, any way!

  • they have the indian tabla in garage band!

  • Is that George Martin next to Paul on his Right?

  • Yes, it's George Martin

  • George Martin is the older one with the gray hair on the left from the initial forward shot.

  • George Martin is on the left....
