I was talking about final fantasy XIII, final fantasy versus XIII, and final fantasy agito XIII. They are all in the same universe (hence they all have XIII in their names).

Other numbered final fantasies (I-XII) are not related to each other.

What's a put off is that final fantasy XIII is a multiplatform title whilst the other two are playstation exclusives (I don't know if they will stay exclusive or not since you can't trust square enix anymore). Doesn't add up. A port is not an option.

If I could remember, the fact that they moved final fantasy to the playstation was because producing cartridges for the nintendo 64 was expensive. And with the introduction of game disks.

This might be different to what has happened to final fantasy XIII. I'm not so sure.

I mean in the olden days we all used to have our favourite consoles, and i swear we used to debate more about which games were better rather than arguing which were better between the consoles (i can distinctly remembering in the PS1/N64 era that more games were exclusives). Nowadays people really used to take it to the extreme.

I just did look. Every website that predicts Gears 3 on the PS3 is a MAJOR fanboy site where it's the writers' job to make big noises about rumours like this. Now, I own a PS3 and as much as I would like to see Gears 3 on PS3 (first 2 look/play amazing/ly), I don't expect to see Gears 3 be released for PS3.

Well part of what you said was wrong. It isn't unheard of to release game sequels on more platforms than the original as it increases revenue. The original Saints Row was only released for the 360, but Saints Row 2 was released on both consoles (I know that Saints Row isn't the best example as a PS3 port was planned for the original). I doubt it would happen (as it is an actual exlusive), but seeing Gears 3 on the PS3 wouldn't surprise me.
