really don't like the voice actress who played Lina in this.... Lisa ortiz and Megumi Hayashibara are much better than this one, and to be honest they both blow her out of the water (considering that the movie/ova actress was pulled in at last minute goes to show how desperate they were to cast :P)

@Barbaryotaku Actually, in Slayers Evolution-R (which is not nearly as good as the first three seasons), Naga's soul is attached to a suit of armor, and they do have interactions together in that way. However, Naga developed amnesia, and calls herself 'Nama', but it's obviously Naga.

@SparkyFlary First in the timeline, yeah, but the first released was The Motion Picture, and first OVA episode was The Scary Chimera Plot (or whatever the name was, the one with thousands of Nagas). Poor me, here in the UK there's no DVD of the Motion Picture or the first 3 OVAs, only Return, Great, Gorgeous, Excellent and Premium. But I used to have the VHS' of them and watch them non stop, in between Dirty Pair Flash that is. :D

@SparkyFlary Actually it's believed by most that Lost Universe takes place a long time before any of the Slayers series, before Gorun Nova (the Sword of Light) ends up in the Red World.

Probably 'cause you're used to her. Personally I don't find Ortiz to be a very good actress as every role she is in is pretty identical and when you listen to Lina in Japanese she's got this really boisterous, loud attitude which Ortiz doesn't really have the skill to pull off, especially with the spells.

They're both good though.

Actually, one interested in Slayers should probably watch everything in chronological order by release date. For example, although Slayers The Motion Picture occurred when Lina is younger than she is in the TV series, viewers would not understand the importance of the Sword of Light unless they had seen the TV series, which came out before the movie.
