@ musicalminded878 J-Love is a talentless clown who feels the need the shout his name over every other remix he does. This one here is just patheticly produced. Listen to it ffs.....Doesn't do Gza's lyrics justice in any way. And the weak fame, fame, fame chorus? Omfg...rediculous to even post this, sounds like a kid with a plastic $5 sampler and some free software off of the interwebs.
@EK11221122 It is a simple beat to make but some of the greatest songs have such simple beats. It could be a lot worse like Kanye who has no talent as a producer because all he does is take a direct sample and speed it up without even chopping up the sample.
@definitionofill I totally disagree, I think this remix is waaay better than the original. J-Love did this remix, and if anyone knows how to make a head banger, it's J-Love. Im not saying ur wrong, I just disagree. The beat is on fire in my opinion, and the lyrics go perfectly timed. Nice remix J-Love, I wish u'd make more beats
cause fm major radio stations sold themselves out to corporations and its independent college radio stations is what we also got to the left of the dial stick to the college radio that has a real rap hip hop slot plays all gza,wu tang, la the darkman, ol school snoop the psycho realm which is b-real's side joint cypress hill
big L 2pac ice cube group home black moon gang starr smif n wessun ghostface killah etc fuck mainstream radio period
it is better but not too much, but yes def better, whats cool is gza's other tracks with themes like queens gambit (nfl) which names all the football teams, besides the falcons for some reason, also on the newest gza album pro tools, theres a track called zero finance which names a bunch of american car models
i couldnt agree more... Labels off Liquid Swords is a classic track... Alphabets on Pro Tools has a similar style, Animal Planet is a cool track aswell
yea but i was refering to songs that kept a theme like celebrities (fame) football teams (queens gambit) or cars (0 finance). I guess animal planet has animals. But do labels and alphabets have a theme, i dont know off hand get back at me. (Labels is a GREAT track on a GREAT album btw)
in Labels... gza drops the names of different record labels... Warner Brother, Priority, Tommy Boy etc.
Alphabets in the hook particularly, he uses every letter in the Supreme Alphabet, while not like fame or 0% Finance, it has a resemblance to those style tracks
Damn i never realised he did all them concepts. I prefer the wordplay on Fame tho. Less format, more wordplay. If u guys kno similar trax can u name them here pls??!!
good call, i cant think of any other gza or wu tracks like that but there is an older mobb deep track f q tip where one mentions clothing and the other mentions liquor types. but one thing im always on the hunt for and can be hard to spot is the akronyms (sp?) aka Peace (positve elevation always corrects errors) from gzas did ya say that L.O.L.S. and wutang (witty unpredictable talent and natural game) from sinistarmcs said labels, there are afew others ill share if u reply, im out of space
yea i knew the crime one we usually take.. garments is new to me, i like witty unpredictable talent and natural game, some thug told me one that tupacs tatoo of thug life meant the harm u give little infants fucks everyone, deep huh its prolly bs tho :)
Wu is the sound of wind, and the sound the tongue makes, and the tongue is symbolic to the sword. Tang is the sound that sword makes when it hits your neck.
When wu tang uses acronyms, they usally mean something, like whats the meaning of CRIME? Is it Criminals Robbing Innocent Motherfuckers Everytime therefore I think Wu Tang is Witty Unpredictable Talent And Natural Game. :)
