As we heard this song in the rehersals, my collegues and I were sure that it was gonna win in this Year (we represented Yugoslavia). The song was so lovely simpel and Anna sang so nice, loking as a Greak Godess... Well and than, this terible "Rin bisschen frieden" won. Such trash.

I congratulate you for this wonderfull entry...thanks for sharing- did not heare it for allmost 30 years, and I still love it!

A good song and good performance, but certainly far from my Greek/Cypriot favorite. The Cyprus Tourist Board is probably the winner of the postcard competition and Anna managed not to make a fool of herself in the video as perhaps the only one. She looks unbelievably tall in those shoes.

OK, I love the verses. I just don't dig the dull chorus.

And what's with the conductor exchange here. I bet there were conductors in Cyprus, couldn't Anna's husband or brother-in-law conduct?

Reference conductor. There weren't (and still aren't!) and no they couldn't! I was asked to arrange and produce Anna's track by CBS International (based in London back then), so it wasn't just my conducting I was employed for! Best wishes. Martyn Ford (the conductor!).

One of my two top pics (the other is 1992's "Teriazoume") for best Cypriot entry ever. A onderful song with a great performance by Anna Vissi - and of course much, much better than her 2006 entry.
