  • You just have to listen in awe as this man puts feelings to music and lays it all out on stage. His music can be so life-changing.

  • God bless stevie

  • Wow, incredible,

    this is moving

  • You and I SUPER SAD amazingly beautiful and emotional WOW Love this Tears dropping first my right eye for the sadnees then left eye for the brilliants

  • Omg the You and I song he is singing about his mum who sadly passed away, love you stevie

  • best singer alive

  • this so deep! like stevie said use your heart to love somebody, and if your heart is big enough use your heart to love everybody! we love you Stevie Wonderful!

  • From 5:35 when he sings the line "I am glad, at least in my life I have found someone, who may not be here forever to see me through" this clearly moved his soul.

When he sings through the pain at 6:32.. it's heart-wrenching and beautiful in equal measure.

There will never be another Stevie.

  • Hello law550 , could you write me ( I'm not good in English to translate last sentence ) what does is mean " to see me through" or whole who may not be here forever to see me through, please.

  • @coista "to see me through" means to help someone with or through something, to stay by someone when times are tough!

  • i think this is his best son ever

  • Luv this man!! Go Stevie!!

  • Glad this is here, but damn...what's up with that bass?? TOO much. Love Stevie tho-

  • the guy who recorded it was too close to the base bins, lucky sod

  • This is my favorite song.

Does anyone know what he is singing about?

  • I think I read, that it was "You and I" is written for his first wife.

  • That is correct. Syreeta Wright.

  • I would find it next to impossible to sing a song about a loved one who passed only a few years back. In that respect, this reminds me of "Here Today" by Paul McCartney, about Lennon.

  • There is a live version of this from Abbey Road studios recorded in 2005. Stevie touches on the song's origins and Syreeta. He gets choked up, but he still performs the song flawlessly. It's on Youtube, just search for "You and I Live".

  • yes, syreeta passed away of breast cancer in 2004...

  • oh cool, i was there :)

  • Same here, makes me feel great. I grew up listening to Stevie. I wanna have overjoyed play as I walk out out my wedding :)

  • These songs make my heart smile. :)

  • Go Stevie! These two songs are very dear to my heart. It makes me think of that special someone. :)

  • In this particular performance he is singing to his mom who had passed a couple years ago if I have the years down right. You can hear him crying @ one poing in You And I. This is very touching to watch. Stevie is still da man!!!!!!!
