my stock cooler seems to be just fine. my cpu runs cool even when i overclocked it to over 4.00ghz and leave it running everyday constantly. blows cool air almost cold like an ac. i got the same cpu.

10GB RAM, Phenom II X4 850 and a shitty graphics card (2600Pro 256mb, really old) runs BF3 on low settings.

The more powerful Phenom 975 (that also can be unlocked to a X6 if I'm not wrong) and a decent graphics card such as the HD6850 will be able to play it without any problems whatsoever.

Mid to high settings will run it at a decent framerate, depends on the resolution tho.

@yagot2323 The AMD Phenom II x4 955 have 3'2Ghz instead of the 3'0Ghz that the 960T have. But power consumption is lower in the 960T with 95W than 125W on the 955.

@quinchonez I've not tested it with BF3. Look at how much cores and the speed of the CPU to find the Intel equivalent . In this case is: 4 cores with a total speed of 3'2Ghz. Search it on google. I don't know wich one is.

@AiRoNSpD The thermal paste is located at the bottom of the heatshrink. You can see a grey square, that's the thermal paste. But I recommend you to use a better one like Arctic silver 5, Arctic Cooling MX-2 or any other always will be better than the stock.

@GameVideoGameplays It depends on how busy you have the fsx. I have a lot of addons and sometimes this CPU sucks when have to load complex sceneries, planes, and others. But generally it works well. If you ara looking to buy a new cpu, buy at least AMD six core. I'm planning to get the AMD Phenom II X6 1100T in a future.

@GameVideoGameplays Yes, I know. It means that the CPU speed is 3'3Ghz but as it's Black Edition, you can Overclock it only changing the multiplier value without change anything, so it can run at 3'7Ghz.

I give you an example: The AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition (the CPU I have) have an stock speed of 3'2Ghz but as it's Black Edition, it can be overclocked to 3'6Ghz without change CPU Voltage and anything more than multiplier value.

@JWK35 The cpu cooler comes with the thermal paste aplied in the heatsink but it's bad quality (you can see it at 2:07). I recommend to buy some thermal past like Arctic Silver 5 or MX2.
