I have the U.S. 2010 wagon Premium, automatic SportShift transmission symmetrical AWD, Automatic transmission: Electronic direct control (4eat) Sportshift 4 speed with manual mode AWD system: 'Active' all wheel drive is electronically controlled, front axle biased for normal dry road driving, and instantly transfers power
to rear axle on demand with VDC and TCS. and it preforms in 4 feet of snow like the snow was nothing. but I guess its different for outbacks and foressters
you make Subaru look bad in this video, please learn how to take hills and drive in snow and not ground out your car and take hills at an angle before you make us all look bad. Subaru doesn't make a model high enough for taking hills straight on. a word to people thinking of buying a subaru, buy one, but first learn how to drive one.k thanks.
my 1997 forester turbo get into one of the hardest road ever...full of rocks (up to 1/3 of the wheel) on a stip mountain !!!!!! forester is a complete car : fast, 4x4, awesome sound
все это ерунда у мню такой же форестер залазает и на по круче склоны и даже не на снегу а на каше!!!тут прокладка между рулем и сидением левая поменяйте)
I truly wonder what MT or AT transmissions have anything to do with the performance in the snow...for all the misinformed subaru doesn't upfit every subaru with the same AWD system...nearly all the base models have open differentials that could care less whether or not it was an auto or manual tranny...any LLbean foresters or outbacks with "all weather package" have LSD differentials...and some have VDC...MT or AT any would perform better in the snow than the two in this video.
atleast in europe there is difference for Outback. 2,5i MT model has LSD and Dual range and 50/50 constantAWD. 2,5i AT has variable torque between front and rear and no dual or LSD( worst variant of them all for Offroad and should be avoided). 3.0 has 45/55 constant but no LSD or Dual. Bad is that all the models have same stickers about symmetrical AWD but reality is different. Same goes for Audi quattro
Of course this vid shows the Subarus at their worst. Who the fuck would buy an OTB or Forester with automatic transmission and expect them to perform in snow?
Idiots. That's who. Get a manual OTB with dual range and get back to me.
