  • i've had this book laying on my floor for 2 years and just got into reading it and finished it its so sick, going out to get the scond

  • @evilspidermonkey567 While I did enjoy Twilight, I find Hunger Games to be far superior in almost every way. Make sure you read the entire trilogy. :)

  • I like the hungergames :) but the first hungergames are better than catching fire,or ?

  • @PrincessXxS In my opinion, each preceding book is better. Meaning, I liked Hunger Games just a little bit more than Catching Fire, and Catching Fire more than Mockingjay. But they're all amazing and they tell a big story that is deep, moving, and makes you think.

  • @snoisulli23 no mockingjay is better than catching fire :D but the best is hungergames

  • It was so freakin amazing!

  • I already read the whole series alli can say is it's great, there's goin to be a new book called mokingjay plus there is a hunger games movie coming out next year

  • wow i seriously want to read this book! thanks!:)

  • @icicleangel You won't regret it. And don't forget that the second book, Catching Fire, is out and the third book, Mockingjay, will be out in August. Happy Reading. :)

  • Hunger Games for the WIN!

  • I've already pre-ordered the third book, it's a amazing series. I'm glad you found this book too and loved it like I did. My heart almost broke when i reached the ending I was like "NOOO!!"

  • I think you did a wonderful job on your video

  • @dx3597

I actually liked Catching Fire more.

    Can't wait for Mockingjay!

Check out my Hunger Games video...

  • @Bubbles36785 Mockingjay? I heard that the next book was gunna be called Victors...

  • @BouncingPandaa

No - look at my video. The third picture I have up is of the cover of the third book - Mockingjay!

  • nope mockingjay on website cant wait

  • @BouncingPandaa Nope its gonna be Moking Jay

  • ikr me to btw good interview read both my self u did good at getting eveybody intrested :)

  • Yes I did, shortly after it came out. I loved it almost as much as the first one. I can't wait for the third book later this year. :)

  • @snoisulli23 When i read the release date for Mockinjay i was like, "yay, 1 day after my birthday!"

  • Agreed, awsome book

  • i loved this book and the 2nd one (but it took me like 2 weeks to read becouse i am overly ocupied with modern warfare 2 right now :P)

  • I agree with everything you said (about the book pulling you in and stuff) @snoisulli23, before I was even finished reading the book it became my favorite book, and I've read a lot of books.

  • dude i stayed up untill 5 at night on a school night because i couldnt stop reading it! and i hate books! SO WIERD ....I LOVE THIS BOOK!

  • lol as i said ive seen a few of your vids and whats cool is you mention you lucid dream sometimes? lol i just started doing that and its so awesome but the realness can be a bit frightening, and definitely overwhelming when you wake up. lol any tips on lucid dreaming? or lol make a vid go wild :)

  • your like super adorable lol....You really do have a addictive personality cuz after this vid i saw like 4 of your other ones.

  • Haha, thanks! I appreciate that. And thanks for subscribing. :D

  • i LOVE that it starts getting interesting in the very beginning. 1 thing, do you know how to pronounce Haymitch? i have no idea how to say it!

  • You know, I just pronounce it exactly as it's spelled: "Hay" (like what you'd feed a horse) and "mitch", like the name, rhyming with "pitch". Perhaps it's completely different, but that's how I've always heard it in my head. :)

  • thanks. i just wanted to see how other people said it. :)

  • Read it loved it. I couldn't stop thinking bout it

Get the second one everyone it's called catching fire and the third doesn't come out til August 24th I'm going to die that's ages away but I'm getting it as soon as it comes out. Lol it's written on my calender and everything

  • I got it last week and finished the book the night i got it,in my opinion its the best book ive ever read

  • Thankyou by the way! I bought this book awhile back and havent read....ive put it off for so long thinking I wasnt going to like it AFTER I had already bought it.

I then came across your vide, and decided to get it out of my bookshelf and am completely loving it. And thanks to you, I am enjoying this book so much. Plan on trying to read it all by Saturday. Already have book 3 pre-ordered through amazon.

  • I'm glad my vid inspired you to read the book. Thanks for the message. :)

  • No problem!

I did however NOT enjoy Catching Fire.

I found it way too repetitive, which caused it to be kind of boring and painstaking with every turn of the page :(

  • I love this book so much I bought it when it came out and I LOVE IT!!!

  • your so funny haha i love hunger games too..hey what's that lalala song called

  • It's called "New Soul" by Yael Naim. And thanks. :)

  • @snoisulli23 hey your pretty cool your not one of the usual youtube haters

  • Definitely not! The haters annoy me so much. I even made a video about it. Haha. :)

  • Fixing to read The Hunger Games! You got me excited for it!

  • And don't forget about Catching Fire, the second in the series.

  • At my library there was 225 people waiting for it

  • Wow, that's huge! I lucked out being able to borrow it from someone else who had checked it out. For the second book, I just pre-ordered on Amazon. Didn't want to have to wait!

  • that book was great!

i read catching fire as soon as it was in the stores. but i absolutely can not wait for the third book!

  • I love this book!

  • the third book isnt published yet gah! i wanna read it

  • I already finished the second, and I am desperate to get my hands on the third ... and its not out 'till Fall 2010!!!!!! =(

  • Hey I absolutely LOVE your video! Your like a professional, and your so very-well spoken =]] I just got the hunger games yesterday because my school was having a bookfair and I agree once I was reading the first couple of pages I was completely drawn in! But I have a Q that I couldn't really get out of the book. Why can't Katniss and Prim's mom take care of them?

  • Hi, thanks for the nice comment. I think that the reason Katniss's and Prim's mom wasn't capable of taking care of the family is because she was a wreck after her husband died and she became very depressed. Katniss took over as head of household as a result. Her mom gets better in the second book, though.

  • Oh alright, that makes sense<:^) lol

    Thankss

  • Mrs. Everdeen was depressed.

  • da second book is real good

  • i just finished reading this book last night... strangely i HATED the first chapter and very nearly gave it up because i thought the writing was so fustratingly bad but then it got me... i was sucked in and i was a gonner!!!... i'm not saying that this was hands down the best book ever but it's deffinaetly a MUST READ!!!

  • there are gonna be three books its a triology :) i just finished the 1st one and cnt wait to start the 2nd :D ♥

  • very nice review, Catching fire was simply Amazing! i finished it a few hours after it came out on sept 1st, and collins wrote another page turner! although i must say it wasnt as intense as the first, it was still very clever, and theres a much bigger picture to the story, i would love for you to reveiw it.

  • I'm reading it right now. I started last night and have about 80 pages left. I'm looking forward to vlogging about it. :D

  • Yeah, I look forward to watching your vlog, Catching fire is just as good, if not better than the first book.

  • Catching fire was released yesterday and it is amazing! Everybody should read it!

  • I ordered it on Amazon. Can't wait to read it! I will vlog about it after I'm done. *I can't believe it's been a whole year since Hunger Games! Time flies. :)

  • Thank you for trying to let people know about this amazing book. It's one that will keep you enthralled, no matter if it is your type of book or not. It is often hard to explain that people don't have to be into anything like this to love the book. The best video review I've watched so far, thanks again.

  • Hey, thanks for the nice comment! I totally agree with everything you said. It's exciting to see that so many people have responded to this video, as it means that there are a lot of fans. I can't wait for the next book! :D

  • i get chills everytime i read the description. the book was AMAZING! i cant wait until Catching Fire comes out! (September 1st...in Canada ♥)

P.S. Fellow Hunger-fans! I have also made a fan-made trailer for the Hunger Games, check it out on my page! ♥

  • the ending made me cry for some reason 0.o

  • awwe i love you! your soo cute! and i loved the hunger games too!:)

  • I would do a search on Google and look for reviews of the book. Really, though, it is such a good book and is so easy to get into that you might just READ it! At the very least, skim and scan it to get the gist of it, or do searches online for in-depth reviews or plot analysis or synopses or something. There are tons of fans who have probably written a lot about it.

  • I'm crazy about it! Just couldn't put it down... It deserves the same popularity as the Twilight books for sure!

  • It really does. I am a Twilight fan, but this book was just amazing. I keep wanting to read it again before the second in the series comes out. Thanks for the comment.

  • the same? it deserves the popularity of Twilight, Harry Potter, the Microwave Oven and Belguim COMBINED!!!

  • Haha, that's hilarious. Too true. :D

  • I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE THIS BOOK ;D

  • it really was supper addictive and i was hooked on it! i couldnt put it down!

  • Who Sings that Song on your title sequense and whats the name on it i like it.

  • It's called "New Soul" by Yael Naim. :)

  • i loved this book. and yeah there was never as dull moment bc you were always wondering if katniss was going to get caught, who had been killed that day, who was an ally and who was an enemy. :] can't wait till catching fire comes out!

  • september the 1st

  • weird u guys are exactly like me and my friends we read the twilight series together and now we r reading the hunger games together and of course as u can see we are a little obessed with the twilight series and now also obessed over the hunger games

  • awesome book!

  • Do you think that this would be as good for a guy as it is for a girl?

  • Definitely. There's almost non-stop action and adventure. I think it could appeal to guys and girls, and most age groups. Happy Reading. :D

  • yes the hunger games is narrated by a girl but is still a book a boy can read and enjoy. Go get it! Its awesome!

  • I kno. I read, re-read and re-re-read it I don't know HOW many times.

  • it was my all time fav book, I even gave it to five of my cousins and they loved it. now at family things it's all me talk bout....I give it five stars and twilight only 3.

  • the only dull part was the rain storm tht was i belive 2 days.. or 1.. :P right b4 they are forced to go to the cornicopia where they see cato and the muts kill him (or katniss didnt realy under stand it) but amazing book...

  • the second book is called Catching Fire and the series will be a trilogy. You should read her other series, the Underland Chronicles. its more for a younger age group but its still a great read.

  • oh my god i love love LOVED this book!!!! it was so awesome i read it in four days but i hate how at the end they are getting out of the train and totally cut u off i was like 'WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTT?????????????????????????????????????????? AAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGG' lol it was awesome though. when i read i didnt like the name peeta so in my head i said peter teehee!! but i love peeta!!

  • omg i totally had the same thought about peeta's name as you! i decided that i would call him peter too, and at first i did, but then i got used to the name peeta. any way i loved this book!!!!

  • LOL same.... accept for the loving peeta part cuze im not gay ^.^ cant wait till next is realesed

  • hey

I'm from mexico and I go periodically to the us and this is really good 'cause books are cheaper there

hey, have you read "the host" by stephenie meyer?

  • The second book ( i think) is called "catching fire."

  • okay i just finished the book:o

i started it on wensday so it went by pretty fast!

and personally i hated twilight(well wat i read of it)

but this boook wat sooo amazing!

i loved ever single minute of it

im kinda pissed off becausei want to read more but i dont think the second books out yet?

    is it?

  • firstly twilight is amazing i didn't like it until i was like halfway done with it.... secondly the second book is called catching fire and is scheduled to come out on Sept. 1 of this year

  • and Lionsgate is making it into a movie!

  • THEY ARE?!?!?!?!?!?!?! WOO HOOOOOO!

  • I KNOW!!!! but i heard that it's not supposed to come out until 2012... sucks...

  • Thank you! It's such a great book. I hope you find it soon. It's such a thrilling read. :D

  • Oh my god you were so right, its awesome! My new favourite book :D I actually do like it more than Twilight. I cant wait til September for the next one though...its too far away! :(

  • id beat those

  • thats a really good review of the book. i read it in 2 days, it would have been one but the bookstore closed so i had to go back. oh, and its really funny how that dog just walks behind you, and keeps on going! awesome clip!

  • Yeah, she's a funny pup. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • that book is sooo awesome! :D

i stayed up yil 2am too finish it lol.

i wish i lived somewhere where you got excited when it rains.

its raines everyday in ireland. =/

  • Hey, at least you can say that you live in Ireland. That's pretty darn cool.

  • not if u live there. lol.

it rains too much. and people fight too much.

    lol

    :]

  • I've ordered my copy and am waiting for it. Am glad you like it!

I think, to answer your question, the Hunger Games is the first book in a trilogy so...

  • Wow your cover is really cool ^.^

  • Oh, I love this book! I read it about two weeks ago...wow, it's such a powerful book. So many great characters and the suspenseful plot was full of twists and surprises. It was amazing! I love Katniss, Peeta, and Rue. ^^ And Foxface pwns! >:3

  • i bought the Hunger Games the other day, im gonna read it after the book im halfway through - i cannot WAIT!

  • It was a great book. The middle was action-packed. The ending sucked. I'm so glad there's a sequal. I don't care about any love story.

  • Ah so crazy it's the best book ever! Oh my goodness!

I'm subscribing just cause you like this awesome book!

Really, I could go on forever about. And I'm pretty sure they're planning it as part of a trilogy. The next book is coming out in September, it's called "Catching Fire".

The only thing I wish is that it would have ended a little more happily for poor Peeta! (haha I pretty much love him!)

But I understand she wanted a cliffhanger to make people

    read the next novel.

    :D

  • Thanks for the sub, TheMidnightBlue. Yes, I'm really looking forward to the next book. It was a bit disappointing how she left things with Peeta and Katniss (I'm quite fond of Peeta myself), but she definitely draws us in for the next book. :)

  • I want to read it!

  • You won't regret it. :)

  • i just read it today it was so GREAT

  • I may sould like a bit of a creep, but i think you have a beautiful your smile.

  • I don't think that's creepy. Thank you for the sweet comment. It means a lot. :)

  • No problem.

  • original? Battle Royale, As part of a ruthless program by the totalitarian government, ninth-grade students are taken to a small isolated island with a map, food, and various weapons. Forced to wear special collars that explode when they break a rule, they must fight each other for three days until only one "winner" remains. The elimination contest becomes the ultimate in must-see reality television.

    not original but great

  • It's fine. I was just surprised, is all. If you watch my other videos, you'll see I'm not that way at all. Fairly crazy, maybe, but not really emo. Hehe.

  • i just finished the hunger games like an hour ago it was amazing!i was kinda mad about how it ended since peeta is kinda upset with her and now i wanna read the next book!but,i have to wait till it comes out:(

  • Yeah, I sort of felt that way, too. I was happy to know that we'd get to explore so much more of that world, but I wanted Peeta to be happier, and for Katniss to have come to more of a conclusion about her feelings. Guess we'll just have to wait!

  • i finished the book last night, it was AMAZING! i'm soo anxious to read catching fire! But its sooo long to wait :( I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE! AMAZING AMAZING! i love peeta<3

  • Catching Fire, out in September 2009.

And I don't take offense, but I think you're dead-wrong. Only because I'm not emo. And I was wearing a turtle neck and a puffer jacket! Haha. Weird.

  • Thank you! i seems i was the only 1 who liked Peeta plus Gales 18 Peeta is just better

  • I Love Peeta! Sorry Gale Baha :)

  • i love this book! its so awesome i want Peeta and Katniss to hook up (srry Gale) what about u?

  • At this point, I am totally rooting for Peeta. We know nothing about Gale, and Peeta's devotion was incredible. Plus, he and Katniss have this history together that no other non-Hunger Games winner could ever understand. It seems like they could be happy together. It'll be interesting to see what the author does. Thanks for the comment. :)

  • I was FURIOUS when Rue died!

Maybe even teared a little lol

  • Oh, yes. I cried quite a bit. I figured she wouldn't last all that long, but it was a real poignant, sad time in the book.

  • i dont get the part in the book where the dead contestants turned into wolves when i read it.and i read it to and i was the first one toread it in my school!

  • I know, that was definitely the weirdest part for me, too. It didn't make any sense, and I didn't like the idea of it. (Not Rue!) Maybe she'll explain more about that in the next book. Heh.

  • The Hunger Games is the first book in the trilogy. I love this book I got it over a weekend and stayed up half the night reading it. I had just finished the Twilight saga and checked Stephine Myer's sight and saw her review on there and thought well it must be really good if an author like Stephine likes it so I went out and bought it the next day. I'm really glad I did.

  • I loved this book i just finished this book and i only cot it like 9 hours ago. read it all in one sitting, it was that good. and i cant wait to get the second, tho i am a little confused on what its going to be about. Still i loved the book.

    good review to.

  • Wonderful book...I read it, read it, and read it && then I finished it. :)

Great book seriously. It is awesome if you finished the twilight saga and can't really find a good read compared to the twilight series. The flap of the book doesn't add the amount of romance in it but it truely has alot of it. Along with action of course. It totally kept me on the edge of my seat. I absoulty cannot wait till the next book!!! in September 2009!

  • stephenie meyer said she liked it so much at dinner she hid it under the table lol and the books (twilight)is awesome and so is hunger games cant wait till book 2:-D

  • Haha, that's hilarious. Can't wait for book 2 as well. And for when enough time passes that I can re-read book 1 and relive the excitement. :)

  • i know!!!!!!!lol

  • whats the age level for this book

  • I believe it's classified as "Young Adult". However, as I said in the video, I think it can appeal to most age groups. *Interesting factoid: Stephen King really liked this book and gave it a solid review. :)

  • I loved this book so much!!!

  • Great Review I loved this book!

  • Thanks! I'm so happy people have enjoyed this book as much as I did.

  • this book is amazing! it sucked me in right on the first few pages! finished it this morning and loved it!

  • It didn't sound like my type of book either, thats why I got my copy from the library also.

  • lmao. 'It was a while ago but I think he still remebers the time I tried to drown him in a bucket'

  • Oh this book was amazing! I agree, I rarely get sucked into a book right away, and I was hooked by page two [: I could Definitely see this as a movie, I was imagining it as a movie the whole time haha. I hope it catches on!

  • I hope so, too, and think it will. The fact that Stephenie Meyer recommends it can't hurt. And because it's a series, it has time to develop a fan base. :)

  • This book was so great. I read it while I was on vacation, so i didn't have to worry when I stayed up until four reading it. Now I'm trying to get all of my friends hooked. I think this may be the next Twilight series and I think it would make an awesome movie!

  • I think it definitely has that potential, meslaura. I really hope it takes off. And I can totally see it as a movie. :D

  • I LLOOVVEEE the book its amazing! I can't wait for the next book

  • I hear you. It's definitely in my...top 10 list.

  • lol whats your number one then?

  • Don't know what my ultimate number one is. Instead, I have those books that I'd put into my top 10 list. Some that are in there: The Time Traveler's Wife, The Phantom Tollbooth, Illusions, My Sister's Keeper, The Host. :)

  • i read it twice in one day, i did the same thing with the twilight series, i read all four in a week haha how sad but this book is so amazing

  • Wow, you really loved them, then! That's cool. I'm looking forward to re-reading both series' as well. :)

  • I completely agree. This book was absolutely amazing. I could not put it down. Even when I had to stop, so I can get some rest for the net day at school, I couldn't stop thinking of what could happen next or dissecting dialogue and analyzing it. I loved it! I cannot wait for the following books. And you were right, about it just pulling you in straight away! Although I am a huge fan of Twilight now, it took me about 50 pages to really get in interested.

  • That's about how I was. Took me a little while with Twilight, whereas The Hunger Games hooked me from page one. I'm reading other books now, but I keep thinking to myself, "I wish I could go and read it all over again." At least there are more to come! Thanks for the comment. :)

  • does anyone kn ow if theres a sequel????? cause at the end it says end of book one so wheres the next book?? it didnt end right and it hardly finished answer all ur questions!!!!!! pleaze respond!!!!!!!!
