What people need to understand is that all those low blows that Castillo was throwing may not be illegal because they're belt line and not below the belt, but if Castillo is throwing all of those waistline shots, it's harder for the judges to see if they aren't facing that side, so if he had jabbed more like Floyd did he may have had a better shot. That's why Floyd won because he was landing more jabs and not swinging so wildly.
Castillo has missed way too much. his showing in this fight is a myth. 1-6 Floyd 7,8 Castillo.... he's been getting peppered and missing the whole night for the most part.

What people need to understand is that all those low blows that Castillo was throwing may not be illegal because they're belt line and not below the belt, but if Castillo is throwing all of those waistline shots, it's harder for the judges to see if they aren't facing that side, so if he had jabbed more like Floyd did he may have had a better shot. That's why Floyd won because he was landing more jabs and not swinging so wildly.

@spliffoo This was a really close fight. Calling it a "robbery" is something that comes out of a (very understandable) bias against Floyd. This is my fourth time watching this fight, and I scored it 1 round in favor of Mayweather.
The compubox statistics were wrong. You just got to slow it down and keep an open mind (i.e. forget the fact that everyone expected Mayweather to murder Castillo).
One thing I think we can all agree on, though, is that the referee in was awful in this one.

I thought it should have been a draw 1st or a mayweather victory. castillo simply gave away too many of the early rounds. If it were a 15 round fight castillo would have won via split decision because castillo was really starting to wear mayweather down late in the fight, but castillo lost this fight as much as mayweather won it. castillos downfall in this fight 1. he started way too late. and 2. he didnt have enough rounds left to turn it around. period
