I adore Abigail Breslin and have followed her career since she was very small, but her acting seems to be floundering a little. I'm really not trying to be mean--maybe she's just at an awkward age, or it was the plot material with the New Year's Eve movie, but I've seen her do better than this. She seems more awkward in front of the camera. It will be interesting to see how she does as she grows into adulthood.
some young actors are spountaneous when acting because they don't even realize the impact of acting and being seen by millions of people until they're older, then they become more self-conscious and lose their child-actor spontaneity and ease.
