sunglasses are required to prevent shattering of eye balls due to the perfect match of: Marshall Class 5+bright white ware house+reverb that can only be put into the category of "reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeerb
This little thing really does sound like an old super lead. the smart thing to do was to demo it in a hall like that. a plex wouldnt have sounded any better than the class 5 , heard in a 10 x 12 (feet) carpeted, sheet rocked and upholstered bed room.
It also reminds me of the Marshall amps before Master Volume. Was Master Volume where Marshall went wrong? Less gain=more tone! MARSHALL CLASS 5 RULES!! P.S. This is all just one person's opinion. Comment if you agree or disagree and state your opinion! Love to hear from fellow guitar nuts!
@oldGNRfan23 i like the JCM 800 but i dont use any master volume, its on 9-10 allways. so i can "copy" the simple ciruit of a JMP/JTM with just using the gain knob. the class 5 is a little splitter, im 20, a lot of people i know would say that the class 5 hasnt got enough gain, is dark, and has too much bass. the class 5 is a amp for people who like/liked the classic marshalls, fans of a JCM2000 might not be fans of this old marshall tone. the class 5 can do everything, but it doesnt help you :D
the class 5 is the best marshall (for plexi tones), its like a 1959 superlead forced into a 5 watt combo. just great, this thing bangs away all the MG whatever marshall crap.
@RexSimplex Much agreed. After having this amp for a while now, I think this is the best Marshall amp made in a LONG time, IMO. Everything on 10 reminds me of the early classic rock gods tones and just is awesome. Simple and LOUD! Better than all the modern amps that Marshall unfortunately puts its name on. I've gotta say, I think I like this more than the JCM 800 because this amp is just so warm and just so great sounding.
at like :25 theres an awsome chappers pose and what looks to be somekinda shadow of the monkey lord under him look close its like a head or somthing haha
ok, ive got a question about an amp that i have. i currently own a Marshall Park Series G10MKII model and i know Park Series has been discontinued but could someone give me an estimate on how long ago Park Series was actually discontinued? the amp still sounds great but id like to know the year it was made in. thanks!
This took me back to hearing my first guitar hero, the deity that is Richie Blackmoore in Stafford Bingley Hall back in the 1970s, which was in effect a big ass warehouse. Rock on Chappers!!

@stratobiker Hi mate, yeah I've heard the comments, all I can say is that I've just never encountered it... and I've played Class 5's for a while now, in fact I have used 4 different ones.
