Im gay, it intensely resonates with how many of us struggle with church hatred / societal influence / anger at god etc... think about what it would be like to be gay & hated when listening to this song. you will surprised howwell the lyrics & emotion displayed fit. Harper is a true genius, he allows such shared experiences in song for all to feel & learn from.
