If I could have heard Honda Minako sing the Caccini version of Ave Maria with Chee-Yun Kim playing solo violin in the background I think I would have heard perfection. This version is gorgeous, like Chee-Yun herself, but since this piece was one of Minako's last recordings I can't help think what it would have been like to hear and see those two great artists and stunning beauties perform the piece together. cheesbeau, i am a high critic of violin, cause i'm a fanatic listening to all the greats over and over. Listen good, don't let her stop playing. Forget teaching as much as playing and recording, and get her out of unknown places, at least get her live recordings of everything and more. She is probably the greatest violinist today. she can make one cry and laugh. that is the test sir, if you are a sir that is.
