I'm a New Yorker who went to Chicago last spring and tried Giordano's stuffed pizza and thought it was good. I noticed that Chicago being in close proximity to dairy land (Wisconsin) the cheese out of this world and there was plenty of it. Put if just want a light lunch then one slice of new york pizza would come into play. I feel as though deep dish Pizza is for an occasion or something that should be indulged slowly as it is very heavy.

@dabearcub YES I'M FROM NEW YORK , YOU IDIOT!!! I had just gotten discharged from Navy boot camp at Great Lakes in November of 2001. I didn't make it, so they discharged me. Anyway, I was at the Chicago bus station waiting for my bus to New York when I decided to talk a walk. I had no idea where I was going because I didn't know Chicago at all. So I went back to the bus station and stayed there. I was very happy to leave though. And what's wrong with New Yorkers like me having allegiance?

Well, im from chicago and i dont like deep dish pizza. Its like eating a couple pounds of cheese in one slice. I love cheese, but cmon. I think the fact that "Chicago" is attached to the name of the dish sparks the defenses of chicago pride, and thats it.

@darwinsmunky I agree, hate how deep dish is labeled as the representitive of Chicago style pizza, when in reality most people in the Chicago area prefer thin crust. For those that aren't aware Chicago has it's own thin crust style I just made a video for it.

I eat NY style pizza 99% of the time. The last pizza I had delivered was NY. I like NY style pizza. there have been times that I even loved it. But Chicago style is better.

I'm a New Yorker who went to Chicago last spring and tried Giordano's stuffed pizza and thought it was good. I noticed that Chicago being in close proximity to dairy land (Wisconsin) the cheese out of this world and there was plenty of it. Put if just want a light lunch then one slice of new york pizza would come into play. I feel as though deep dish Pizza is for an occasion or something that should be indulged slowly as it is very heavy.

I just wanted to say that next time you come to chicago. You should go to Lou Malnatis. It is A LOT better than Gio's. TRUST ME, I have lived in chicago all my life, and LOU's is probably the BEST DEEP DISH ;] btw, I have nothing wrong w/ new york style pizza..its quite delicious ;]

This is incorrect and can leave a traumatizing scar of "bad" chicago pizza. Everyone must know to goto LOU MALNATI'S. Spread the word! Life depends knowing that Chicago is the city with the best pizza!! :p
