  • Ok, if no one's gonna ask this i will. Lee Evans can sing?

  • @DJsaxby16 He can, very well too. YouTube search it. He sings at the end of some of his stand up shows too.

  • why did i not see lee evans play leo bloom? i bet this was beyond hysterical!

  • As if the "blue blanket" scene in the show isn't funny enough, I'm sure with Lee Evans playing Leo Bloom, the scene is even more hysterical!

  • Watching this makes me insanely jealous.

  • nathan is jewish

  • wish i saw this lol looks amazing

  • i never knew lee evans played bloom in the lodon show, i bet it reminds people of mouse hunt lol

  • Is that Lee Evans playing Bloom? He's not Jewish. But, neither is Lane. Broderick is half. Mostel and Gene Wilder were aka Jerome Silberman.

  • @TheIMC8 He's also not really an American, accountant, or producer... I don't think Lane is really a producer or writer either... it's called acting :P

  • Oh look that guy from mousehunt I like Matthew Broderick better

  • i have alot of full shows if anyone would like to trade let me know

  • does anyone know where to buy this version of the producers?

  • You can't, it's a promo video. You'll need to get the movie musical version instead.

  • The movie musical version has the same cast?

  • No, only the same Max Bialystock, played by Nathan Lane, everyone else were other Hollywood stars, Uma Thurman as Ulla, Matthew Broderick as Leo, Will Ferral as Hans, Gary Beach as Roger and Roger Bart as Carmen.

  • oh. that sucks because I already have that one...but I really want the one with nathan lane and lee evans...I thought they really complimented each other in Mouse Hunt. Oh well thanks. :)

  • They were in mouse hunt together? I knew lee evans was, but i wasn't sure about nathan. Thanx!

  • no problem.

  • Uh, Matthew Broderick, Gary Beach and Roger Bart were all in the original Broadway production with Nathan Lane.

  • Yes, but my point is that they *weren't* in this London production.

  • @jasntoddy u got to admit, James Dreyfuss as Carmen Ghia is just brilliant

  • @TRWolf Didn't Matthew Broaderick play on broadway as well?

  • @MeowBitchDubs Yup. And London for a short time.

  • It an interview about the Producers the movie, with Broderick, and Lane, the interviewer asks if they could wake up in the middle of the night, and say the lines, and sing, and Nathan says, that one night, just before Nathan is about to go on vacation, Susan Strohman, the director/choreographer of the Producers on tour, (the movie), in london, and on Broadway, is frantic because the man who has going to play Bialystock, dropped out and she begeed him to do the London, so he got on a plane .contd

  • .....(continued)...flew to London, and played Bialystock for a couple of months. This was about a year before they were going to begin filming the movie. He said that's the closest he could get to waking up in the middle of the night, and that that tested their friendship. (susan's and nathans')

  • lol

  • werent Nathan Lane and this "Leo" the two leads in the movie "Mouse Hunt"?

  • They were, well spotted :)

  • lol, i saw this and was blown away by how much it got away with. it is so funny! make it gay!

  • wow nathan lane and lee evans-great choice!

  • I can't believe it closed for lord of the rings.

  • I saw the U.S. tour of this and it was awesome. But I prefer Nathan Lane over the other guy that they had to play Max Bialystock. But it was still awesome.

  • does anyone know where you can watch a bit of the producers with lee evans in it?

  • I was there in that theatre, watching that show. For those of us who don't live in London, that might be a big deal. :P

  • This is like the greatest show ever made.

The origanol 1968 movie was possibly the greatest movie ever made.

  • saw this in the west end with nathan lane and lee evans. brilliant! hysterical!

  • *ahem* ... thanks Fiyero ;)

  • ok,i'm sorry,i commented at all.i am dumb shit

  • What on earth are you talking about?

  • ...what?

  • leigh is so beautiful

  • im ganna see it in 2 hours

  • Calm down! lol. Have a nice time :)

  • it was brill but the set wasnt wight on act 2 it was the same color

  • No, the sets are different than the London show. If you noticed, the opening shot in this vid is a different set theatre than the one used in the tour. Shame they didnt do the white room thing, it was a great gag.

  • true thanks 4 explaning

  • saw this show 75 times on broadway. this music (which they played during curtain call) makes me cry. i wish i could have seen the west end production.

  • im goimng with my dad in 2 days at sunderland

  • I cant wait to see this musical in sunderland next week

  • Yeah, its amazing on stage. If I could get to Sunderland, I'd see it again, this time with my dad, he'd love it.

  • im going to see this in sunderland next week

  • I cant imagine Joe Pasquale being a very good Leo, he wouldnt be taken seriously enough. But have fun!

  • I saw the manchester show last night with peter kay it was absolutely amazing! Peter kay did do a little ad libbing but it's all good because he was fantastic! x

  • Does anyone know if you can see a DVD of this? I didn't go to see it & I was just wondering if you could watch it on a dvd or on a website or something, the one with Lee Evans & Nathan Lane I mean, gutted I missed it :(

  • There's no DVDs of the show, only the movie musical with Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick. The shots in this promo were only done for the promo. Shame really. Anyway, its on UK Tour! Check it out! :)

  • Damn, that's too bad :( They should have made a dvd of it because it looks like it was a great show. Is it the 1 with Peter Kay that's on tour now? I'm not all that bothered about seeing that, I wanted to watch this one cos i'm a fan of Lee Evans.

  • Well dont go to see a show just cos its Lee Evans! He's playing Leo Bloom, you should see a show for the whole "seeing a show" thing. And yeah Peter Kay's in the current tour... he's alright, but nothing amazing.

  • Well that's what you do when you're a fan of someone isn't it, you wanna see their work. I don't usually go to see theatre though so I wouldn't go & see the new 1, I should watch the film, the old one. Thanks for the info anyway ;) Did you go & see the one with Lane & Evans? How was it?

  • Nah, I saw the UK Tour here in Manchester. The movie musical is great, but the show is fantastic! Much better with an audience! (BTW, see the 2005 film, not the 1968 one)

  • Oh, OK, i'll watch the 2005 one then, infact, i'll watch both cos I heard the old one is pretty good as well.

  • I love Lee Evans he's soooo funny, Producers is finished or is finishing in London, its going on tour. I think someone mentioned earlier that Peter Kay is going to be in it.

  • You're a bit behind the times. The Producers has closed in London and it's already on tour, it's in Manchester, and Im seeing it on saturday. Yes, Peter Kay is playing Roger DeBris.

  • lol, I thought it had already finished, didn't know the tour had already started though, thanks :D

  • Didn't Lee Evans co-star with Nathan in that movie 'MouseHunt'?

  • Yep.

  • yeah that is strange that he played leo. matthew does a better job. well i've only seen the film but anyway.

  • is it stilll on in london because im goin in 5 weeks and i think i might see this

  • No, its on UK Tour now.

  • HAHAHAHA...slow mo. HAHAHAHAHAHa... english accents!

  • Uh...okay

  • Yeah mayb a bit strange but the slo mo was really funny!

  • Just saw the last show until march, when peter kay joins on. I dont think he can beat this guy though, i didnt see Lee Evans but the guy instead of him was still amazing

  • I didnt quite understand that... you saw the last show (in London?) and the guy playing Leo was good? Thats good, but its a different guy playing Leo for the Tour, but the same Max. Peter Kay will be playing Roger.

  • No im saying i didnt see Lee Evans but i saw the last show in london til march. In march peter kay joins on, but i thought he was doing max but i was wrong, so he's doing roger. Kool. Wait...which ones roger? :S

  • Roger is the gay director who also plays Hitler.

  • You got this off the Producers website!!! I was afraid to put it up in case it would be deleted.

  • Well it shouldnt be as its public domain. I just popped it up so people could see a good clip of the London show, when they may not realise there's a website that has this clip on it :)
