I'm aware that the CCHR is a possible front group for Scientology, but I still agree with the fact that 99% of the time when you go the doctors with any problem they will prescribe drugs like its candy, without fully understanding the problems and reactions in the first place. That is there business and they are doing harm to normal every day people while doing it. It's sickening what kind of society this has become.

If someone kills themself while on prescribed drugs its considered suicide. If someone overdoses or kills themself while on drugs peddled in the street, even when its the same drug being prescribed by doctors, the trafficker can be charged with accessory, second degree murder and manslaughter. Double standard.

@SadielCuentas Although on its website Wikipedia states that it is owned by the people, it is very much not. Wiki's servers were sold to Bomis Corp, when taking on Jimmy Whales as CEO who also happens to be co-founder of wiki. The idea is based off of the GNU Project, which was a NSA funded program at MIT. There is a new version of Wiki in the works called Citizendium. It claims to be wiki with more "reliable" sources, only people with special designation can create articles. More censorship.

When it comes to informing the public of what medication they were on, that is privacy laws and not something that psychiatrists are involved in doing. The person trying to imply that this is a conspiracy is flat out lying.

Also, if 100 million people are on these medications, why is it that so few go on suicide or rampages? Where is the statistic to say it increases because of medication and it really not being the patient? Before anyone concludes anything, ask yourself all this.

As for the woman that said "what has changed since the 60s?" she should remember that violence overall in the country has gone down. She should also remember that people pre-medication in large lived their life in mental hospitals. Medication has helped millions to have better lives. Unfortunately, this may come at a price a FEW times.

After watching this video, I can only provide my personal experience. After being suicidal and having my anxiety out of control from OCD, medication has been the only thing that has helped me nearly eradicate my symptoms. I have no desire to kill myself or kill anyone else. I have had some side effects (sweating at night, hunger, etc.) but overall my life is a lot better. I know many others that would agree with me. Too bad this video is just a giant statement with no citations.

We are not saying that these drugs do not help indivicuals, we are saying that it is not neccasary for any of these drugs to even exist, when we have drugs like marijuana and other natural drugs that cure you without any side effect. go ahead and take a whole bottle of those perscription pills, then see what happens.

It's incredible that someone like you gets a thumbs up when you display such strong ignorance when it comes to pharmacology. Marijuana IS a drug that works SOMETIMES, but it ALSO DOES have side-effects. Try giving a person with an Anxiety Disorder marijuana and you'll see that most of the time it'll only exacerbate their symptoms.

@pacer91345 I can't stand ignorance and there are so many ignorant people in this world. We see people who have been on anti-depressants from 10+ years with no hope of getting better. We use a two session intervention called the luggage of life programme. In the first session we eliminate all of the negative emotions of the past. In the second session we get the person off his pill. Once you get rid of the route cause of the problem they never get depressed or need anti-depressants ever again.

@BottomContributor Anti-depressants take 6 weeks to kick in, they are extremely toxic, they turn you into a mindless zombie, stop the healing process, double the suicide rate and are a nightmare to come off. On the other hand SAM-e takes 2 weeks to kick-in, is less toxic then a sugar pill, can replace over 90% off all anti-depressants, has had more favourable clinical trials then any anti-depressant, is safe and non addictive. Everything considered, I would take my chance on cannabis than pills.
