@tmlrlz Kadris only 20 and he needs more experience. When he plays, and he will play in the nhl he needs to be able to use his skills and not hurt his team. If two or three seasons in the minors ruins him then he was never good enough anyway. If the leafs thought he was ready to play in the show then he would be there.

u also have to look at the lines......crosby doesnt have malkin or staal on his line because they too are centers for the 2nd and 3rd line. ovechkin has semin (third i think in goals) and backstrom who was literally behind ovechkin last year. if u look at the point leaders last yeah.....the entire ovechkin line including mike green at 21st is there. the only other player for pittsburgh was malkin at 19 and he't not even on crosby's line. both are great players but crosby has less to work with.

Playoffs are supposed to feature the best teams and are supposed to be where teams really play their shut down, rough and tough take the man off the puck finish your checks kind of hockey. What is the problem with Thorton according to analysts, no playoff production. Its not something to under sell.

@Nirvana1313 Well I didn't mean to say that it wasn't a factor, I just thinks total scoring in the playoffs is diluted because of the amount of games that are played, or how certain series are. I think the biggest way it impacts a player's potential is more in terms of when they are able to produce, not so much how often.

Especially in Junior to see how a player performs in big game situations. Everyone in the playoffs elevates their games, regardless of standings. Saying that his skill is less because he is playing an 8th place team.. whereas in the season in games that dont matter against 20th place teams is a better way to determine skill is just dummmb.
