You start all the cars the same. Just turn the key on bam. From what I know you should first turn it to contact, wait for the injection, pumps, whatever to STOP (in 99% of the cars a few lights turn themselves off after a few seconds (3seconds) to indicate you can now turn the engine off) and then it is the optimal time to turn the car on.

I know all of the Lamborghini Murcielago's gauges are ugly and I don't know why Lamborghini made look like that when you are spending a couple hundred thousand dollars on that car. He should have put in into accessory mode first before he started it. You also should open the garage because thats how a lot of people die from the car fumes.
