  • Quelle magnificence.....Dieu le veut!!!!!!

  • ohhhh yea i watched kingdom o' heaven last night and heard this song in the part when godfrey remembers his past n' i was like"daamn...i need to find this tune" and after all day of search i finally found it, it gives so many pictures this song! i love it!

  • @inorelin It's in Wikipedia's 'Kingdom of Heaven (Soundtrack)' page so it shouldn't really be so hard. And Chansoneta farai Vencut is a lot better than this.

  • This album makes me travell in time.... amazing song.....

  • l like this.

  • Wunderschön...wunder wunderschön. Balsam für meine Ohren ;)

  • story is so tradegic.

    estampie is awesome

  • We are now obliged to be crusaders in our country.

  • very true!

  • @45usul Amen my friend,an astute observation-very shrewd. Let us not shirk this responsibility but diligently pursue our noble cause. We are being assailed on multiple fronts now and have no other choice.

  • @1488bill I think you are both crazy.

  • @45usul WTF? Great countries had become great only with immigration.

Ignorante... On protège l'Eglise Chrétienne Romaine depuis des générations, GESTA DEI PER FRANCOS !!!

  • @AuroraOnVenice Generally true but not necessarily so outside of the Western world and Middle East

  • He sent me his shirt which he had worn,

So that I might hold it in my arms.

At night, when love for him tormets me,

I place it in bed beside me

And hold it all night against my bare skin

    To assuage my pains.

    God, When they cry 'Onward'

Give Your help to that pilgrim

    For whom my heart trembles,

    For the saracens are treacherous.

  • And when the sweet wind Blows which comes from that sweet country Where is the man whom I desire, Then I turn my face toward it gladly, And it seems to me that I can feel him Beneath my mantle of fur. God, When they cry 'Onward' Give Your help to that pilgrim For whom my heart trembles, For the saracens are treacherous. I regret very much that I was not there To set him on the road.
  • For the saracens are treacherous. I shall bear my loss Until I have seen a year go by, He is on a pilgrimage; May God grant that he return from it! But, in spite of all my family, I do not intend to marry any other. Anyone who even speaks to me of it Is a fool. God, When they cry 'Onward' Give Your help to that pilgrim For whom my heart trembles, For the saracens are treacherous. However, I am hopeful Because I accepted his homage.
  • Found your translation: I will sing to comfort my heart, For I do not want to die Or go mad from my great loss, When I see that no one returns From that foreign land, Where the man is who Brings solace to my heart When I hear him spoken of. God, When they cry 'Onward' Give Your help to that pilgrim For whom my heart trembles,
  • Interesting modern version. Is there a new wave trobar - movement expecting us? :-)

  • this song is beautiful.

  • does it mean "i will sing for my valor" ? it sounds like old french.

  • "I will sing for my heart which I will comfort, for in spite of my great

loss I do not wish to die, and yet I see no one return from the wild ...."

    rest in the internet

  • ı am a muslim but song is awesome especially singers voice

  • Alucinante!!

  • Thank you so much for posting this lovely song here, it just captured my mind since it first came to my ears. It is really a medieval song, because one mentioned that this is somehow a modernized version which was used for Kingdom of heaven?

  • This version was used in Kingdom of Heaven, but in the movie there is only a first part of this song;)

  • @Kondotier really beautiful, i love that part... ^^

    @fthmrt yeah, i'm muslim too...

La nuit, quant s'amor m'argüe, La met delez moi couchier, Toute nuit a ma char nue, Por mes malz assoagier.
Quant l'une a l'autre atalente, Por coi nos as departis?
• love that song

  • I loved it though I've no idea wats she talkin about !

  • its in the lyrics booklet, ill check it when im at home, all the texts are included in their original languages.

  • What ablum is it? I know crusaders but im having trouble finding it do you have a link?

  • Crusaders: In nomine domini- it's full name of this album.

  • Kondotier, me and some friend are translating this song.

It's hard because it's "Ancient" frence, we've done 7/8 of the lyrics and hope we can post the AMV + English lyrics on youtube.

    Glevenar1

  • no..idea...wat...she is saying....

  • She waits for her lover- he is a knight, crusader, far away from her. She prays for his safe return. That's all;)

  • O My so emotional !

  • If I remember rightly it starts

"I'll sing to keep my courage up,

    so I can comfort myself..."

It's a "chanson de croisade" written from the point of view of a woman waiting for her husband to come back from the Crusades. The lyrics will tear your heart out and stomp that sucker flat.

"God, when they cry 'Forward march!'

Sir, help that pilgrim for whose sake I tremble

    Because the Saracens are treacherous..."

  • Very soothing, peaceful. Even when i don't understand it, Kingdom of Heaven made me fall inlove with it badly.

  • what wonderful music! I wish I knew what she is saying.

  • heartbreaking
