I am not Chinese dance specialist but this choreography/dance is emitting Nice Heavenly Energy and I love it. I do understand from your dance ethnology point of views but sometimes overall energy is what general audience is looking for stage, because the mass audience need some deep rest from this ever hectic world at least while watching dances.
Regardless it represents authentic Tang Dance or not. It is a very difficult dance with all managing skills requiring ten-thousand times practice. The stage seems too small for these talented dancers.
However, it resemebles so much from a dance called "大千飛花" by the Dance Troupe from National Taiwan Univ. of Arts. Even the customes and movements look so much alike.
Unfortunately the choreographer cared nothing for historical accuracy and missed the entire point of the music. This is a spruced-up ribbon dance with no substance. Anyone with even limited knowledge about Chinese dance can recognize the glaring shortcomings: the costume, headdress, movements... none represents Tang dance. At best this is well-intentioned fluff; at worst an example of overreaching one's abilities.

I don't think historical accuracy is a problem as artists/choreographers should reinterpret dance to fit their artisitic direction but this dance is just awful! It's shallow and I find it difficult to understand why they chose that particular piece of music to dance to.
原来是巴子排的，果然是没有什么文化底蕴啊。服装发型什么的还说是“霓裳羽衣”。至少要有个唐代的韵味吧，可一看就是宋明的感觉，更可笑的是这完全是脱胎于戏曲啊，乍一看还以为是唱戏呢。所以说，不要对你不熟悉的东西妄加修改还大言不惭。我们中国有唐韵的古典舞不是这样的。拜托你们还是有自知之明一点，多多发扬自己本岛的矮黑文化吧，别再玷污我们的文化了。其实你们那种东南亚舞蹈还是很喜庆滴~~

亂七八糟!這若是唐代的舞蹈~我頭可以給你踩!這根本就是胡舞胡樂!祖先有知會跳起來罵的!真正漢族舞樂早已在中國消失了!全都流傳到韓國跟日本去了!

很不錯，但是還是想說音樂似乎有些越劇的意味，霓裳羽衣是宮廷舞蹈，配樂應該大氣華貴些，這里的音樂有些單薄，和群舞不是非常配。
整體舞蹈真的很贊，如果不知道名字，我會以為是宋時的歌舞，年代有些偏差。

缺少打击乐器，音乐里没有高潮。很想酒楼里的音乐，没有宫殿里的金碧辉煌。舞蹈好看但不符合史实，这根本就不是霓裳羽衣舞。估计是拿来吸引游客的节目，只要好看就成。

1949年後兩岸的舞蹈發展是極不相同的，
在台灣~因侷限地域環境的緣故，古典舞大部分與京劇裡的戲曲舞蹈相關甚或借鏡再創作，個人認為這個作品就是很典型的例子，所以並不以歷史考就為創作出發的原意。
