I know Mavers hates the album, but I honestly think Steve Lillywhite did a great job. I am one who doesn't think the original version of "There She Goes" is better than Lillywhite's. Lee may be a genius but he doesn't know when something is finished, always finding fault. I think they recorded this album with at least one (maybe two) other producers and Lee wasn't happy with any of it. Even really stripped down stuff. I say the album is a classic and Lillywhite wrangled it together with finesse.

If only he weren't such a perfectionist, they really could have been one of the best bands ever. We love ya lee. just please make the album with the baby shambles and don't do this
