Williams hasn't struggled to bring his power up to 160lb i dont think. He is a big puncher and his power i believe will have maintained if not increased at 160lb, his punches look heavier. Martinez and Wright are fighters with good chins. You can tell he's still got the power looking at his fight with Andy Kolle, and i think there is no doubt he will beat pavlik - to me its a question of whether he can knock pavlik out - and i think he can.

it was also down to hopkins tactics. hopkins noticed that pavlik tends to load up his punches. hopkins made sure he hit quicker or moved his feet slightly so pavlik was left loading up punches with no where to throw. it was a masterclass in tactics from hopkins

how can people say this guy sucks when hes beat him twice. hes got great power and the fight against hopkins was shit because hopkins style is to duck and hyde and punch-he doesnt fight-and judges will give it to hopkins because they see pavlik miss 1000 punches and hopkins land two, while pavlik landed just as many. hopkins definately seems the winner but his style is shit, just like maywhether, although hes incredibly accurate

Its funny you say that because I've been watching boxing since I could walk and my buddies and I always joke that Peter Manfredo is the most overrated fighter we've ever seen. I also think guys like amir khan, carl froch, zsolt erdei,sergio mora,tomasz adamek,steve cunningham,and victor ortiz are also hyped too much (just to name a few) The sport has a few true stars like pacman and juanma. I think kelly can save his career but he's got some work to do and staying at 160 is a death sentence.

Seeing the Knock out again reminds me of how silly it was that people said Smoger stopped the fight prematurely. Right at 2:35 Taylor's arms and legs go limp and he literally falls straight to the canvas. He wasn't getting back up and winning anything after that!

it was also down to hopkins tactics. hopkins noticed that pavlik tends to load up his punches. hopkins made sure he hit quicker or moved his feet slightly so pavlik was left loading up punches with no where to throw. it was a masterclass in tactics from hopkins

Watching that if Kelly fights Joe and goes down Joe will finish him off easily. Kelly won't beat him. Joe is the best finisher in the world. He just bombardes an opponent with dozens of punches when he moves in to finish the fight. But Roy (might) beat Joe with a KO but I think Joe will win on points or stoppage. I didn't see that. Theres a difference in having your ass handed to you and losing a fight. Pavlik was fighting out of his weight class against a savvy and (a young) 43 year old brawler. That lose is only going to make Pavlik stronger. All exceptional fighters lose bouts (Marciano excepted), and those loses only humble and make them stronger (Tyson excepted).

B-hop will make just about the most boring fight possible. He spent his entire title reign dodging punches from power punchers, and prefers a punch count of around 20 per round, where he wins on percentages (and he hits hard). Kelley is a hell of a fighter, easily top 5 pfp, but man it's gonna be a snoozefest unless Kelley gan get him to mix it up. Not worth pay for view that's for sure
